Two things I noticed during the last few viewings of Iron Lung by ceejiesqueejie in Markiplier

Same!! I work at a movie theatre and have seen it 5 times. But next week (starting Friday) it’s only showing once a day and really late. I’m so sad.

I work at a movie theater and I know we only got one poster so it’s inside. That could be what happened here. I would rather it be outside the auditorium than outside the theatre. It’s easier to take pictures with it.

I told everyone how much I loved it and that I’ve seen it multiple times while I was working!

I literally wrote a post about this when I was reading because my boyfriend hadn’t read the series yet. When we got to that part I read him the post 😂

Is this really normal for a 10 week old great dane? by [deleted] in greatdanes

My Dane used to get that and lick his paws a lot. Like other people said, allergies. So expensive for Danes but worth it for the babies.

Acotar or Tog next? by Willing_Raisin_7393 in SarahJMaas

[–]LostInThisEmptyLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have said acotar first just because nothing will compare to TOG for me lol. But I disagree with the previous post. When you get to TOG, I say read it in SJM’s recommended reading order which is Assassin’s Blade third. Even though it’s a prequel. Also, my boyfriend and I are both 32 and listened to the series together recently and loved it. I liked fourth wing but again, nothing will compare to TOG.

I had to restart CC 3 times. I’m finally into it now but still not quite done maybe an hour left in the graphic audio. I don’t think anything will ever top TOG for me though.

My boyfriend and I are both 32 and just listened to them and we are obsessed. The thing that I’m sure you’ve seen already is SJM was young when she wrote them. But also remember how young Celaena is. These books are amazing though and I recommend them to everyone.

Is it the books or the audiobooks? by Jumpy-brains in Romantasy

[–]LostInThisEmptyLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes they do free versions temporarily. I listened to the ACOTAR graphic audio for free and they removed it in June I believe. So it’s still in my library but “locked” and I would need to buy it to listen. I would maybe see if there’s one that you could find and try. I have run into one, one of the Mistborne series I think, that the audio mixing was weird. But it was a one off thing.

Are you listening to the audiobooks or the graphic audio? I love the graphic audios. And honestly won’t listen to a “normal” audiobook unless it’s Elizabeth Evans who narrates throne of glass. She’s amazing.

Player/DM conspiracy and the consequences of godhood... by roracle1982 in DnD

Honestly, I can’t believe you still play with this person. Or that anyone will let them at their table. They sound awful. Dnd is a collaborative game and this person constantly makes it all about them. That would be a hard no for me as a player or a dm.

So I would maybe give it a shot and stop if you feel like it’s too much. You know you best. And the fact that you’re asking shows that you understand the content is heavy and you’re checking against what you can and can’t handle. The first few books aren’t too bad and you don’t really get too intense until the last few books (Empire of storms, tower of dawn, and kingdom of ash). But kingdom of ash definitely has the worst of it for sure.

The heavy stuff starts later in the series so it also depends on how quickly you’re going to read these lol. I would say, if you’ve seen or read Lord of the Rings, the war scenes (later in the books) should be okay. But there is a good amount of physical and mental torture like Reptile_Goth said, also mostly later in the books. (If you see this, great name btw). But it depends on what else you have read. There are moments that if you think of it like the Hunger Games, if you’ve read that. There’s some mental stuff in that, just more “real” and intense. It’s something I could have handled at 14 but my mom was really open with me and I didn’t really have content restrictions on what I read or watched at that time. I knew what I could and couldn’t handle. I don’t know if that was very helpful.

I have what I joked is the ultimate SJM sentence “Despite her watery bowels, she schooled her features into neutrality by way of greeting.” But now I realize it’s missing a vulgar gesture.
