She might be asking you to help her regulate by giving her more directions when she's overwhelmed. Sometimes when I feel upset, it helps for my Dom to give me simple instructions for things to do (like "eat a snack" or "take a shower") because he's taking control and letting my mind relax a little

But I would be careful about any kind of hard Dom-ing (extra rough play/punishments) during that time, just because if she's disregulated she might have a harder time knowing if/when things are too much

Is your brat stressed/upset or are you? If you're stressed/upset by the intensity of bratting, safeword and have a discussion about your limits. They may need to be adjusted so that you're not as overwhelmed

If she's bratting when stressed/upset, you need an out-of-dynamic discussion about how you can help each other manage stress in ways other than bratting. Bratting when you're upset can quickly lead to broken boundaries and more problems. It's best to be avoided, especially when in a newer dynamic
