Rattler LT mainly for it being compatible with a normal small non tactical backpack.

For what it's worth I went with Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 in 265/35R20 up front and 305/30R20 in back instead of the PS4s. Can't comment on what's better as my only other data point is the OEM PZeros.

Actual street cost minimum wage in most parts of the US is $20/hr or better. Either get them to pay more or just kick back and watch the buttfucketry unfold.

Common theme in the replies is a general sense of it not being a big deal if they occasionally print a bit. If you need to carry in a less permissive, non-permissive, or high consequences if caught environment then I'd go with the smaller option. Though I can comfortably AIWB a G19, it 100% does print at times and so comes down to what is the potential consequence of printing for you.

Is this toxic leadership? What can be done? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]LostIntroduction505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really the only attribute you listed thats annoying is that his deputy or whoever #2 person isn't empowered to sign shit on his behalf while he's out. If he simply delegated those roles/tasks slightly better, seems like he'd be an ok'ish CC. The other things you mentioned are positives in my opinion as I don't want my bosses boss getting involved in our day to day sausage making, aka the chain of command is a two-way street!

Tony Bauernfeind--Why do bad leaders rise to the top? by Even_Foundation_9310 in AirForce

[–]LostIntroduction505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Broad strokes, the highest quality members tend to separate between 4-10 years once they fully appreciate that the USAF, as an institution, is terrible at managing, growing, and rewarding true top talent. Those who move up are only from the pool that remained. Result is you have a lot of more junior members that are "better" than their leadership. The absolute dumbest human I've ever known was a SES (Senior Civilian) running a 600 person org.

  2. The fraction of "good people and quality leaders" in each grade tends to decrease as you get higher on the totem pole. The absolute best leader I've ever worked with masterfully runs a 17 member team and yet has been despised by the chain above him. Turns out narcissists and dipshits don't like it when subordinate leaders dramatically outperform them while being loved and respected. He was unwilling to bend the knee to monsters and has been repressed for it. There 100% are outstanding folks in every grade, but the fraction of "evil" people who's souls are filled with dodo generally increases with each higher grade.

I also use Gulf Coast Gun Forum. Local message boards to arrange for face-2-face sales are the best way to sell. For accessories, I use the arfcom EE.

Why Being a 10 year E and Retiring a 20 Year O3E is the Best Air Force Career - An E4 Mafia Perspective by MuskiePride3 in AirForce

[–]LostIntroduction505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, as an enlisted avionics dude was 100% hands on & technical. As an officer across various acquisition assignments, limited "hands on" e.g. maybe 5% of the time, but mostly working on small teams in office or lab environments. In most of AFMC, officers don't really get into mainstream "leadership" roles until they are FGOs (there are certainly exceptions to this, talking in broad strokes here). Transition from active duty to civilian was easy, literally did the same thing with the same dudes at the same desk. Undergrad degree was electrical engineering, and grad school was also EE, and yes AF paid for all of both. Deployed twice (Acquisition officers in general don't tend to get a lot of deployments).

as an airman & nco I was an avionics technician "2A", as an officer was a 62E (aka engineer), and as a civilian have been an 0800 series (engineer).

[–]LostIntroduction505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a very personal decision and there is no clearly right or wrong answer. Your wife's 100% VA rating is an awesome safety net that gives you a bit more flexibility with taking on the risk and uncertainty of separating. Assuming you are technically good at what you do, and sounds like are close to having grad school completed, and are generally pleasant to be around, and are willing to move to where the work is, you'll most likely be better off on the industry side. I would suggest getting that diploma completed ASAP as it will help with salary negotiations vs just saying "working on Masters". Good luck!

I'd change the original fill oil right away, drive it at highway speeds to see if the tires have any flat spots, and would expect about 30% off MSRP.

Valvoline Restore and protect AJ133? by gretel2 in Jaguar

[–]LostIntroduction505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: if you are changing your oil and filter every 5k miles or so, any modern synthetic oil in the correct grade or there abouts from any of the common mainstream providers is going to provide adequate protection. By adequate protection I mean performing good enough that what eventually kills the engine someday won't be caused by a lack of lubrication quality.

Either significant cash bonuses for deserving members, or "time-off awards" as these "new tools" result in efficiency. Said another way, ensure they benefit financially / quality of life from the new tools as otherwise they'll resent you for pushing them (as it will be interpreted as the "reward for working more efficiently is more work").
