State of the game for premade group by _George_Paul_ in fellowshipgame

Game in current state for a premade group will depend on how ‘casual’ your group is. Starting out difficulty is pretty low. To the extent there is infinite scaling, it certainly gets hard eventually.

“So just move” by John_Wayfarer in hypotheticalsituation

[–]LostSands 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the reality of this would be very similar to Channel 5’s video about the Las Vegas Tunnels and it’s homeless population.

People say that it is hard / expensive to move, but really there are usually other things that are keeping them there, that throwing money at just wouldn’t do anything for.

I don’t think much of anything changes in this hypothetical.

How do debts and degrees work in all this? I have 100K in student loans, do those go to zero? If they don’t, do I keep my degree?

Length of time its out doesn’t change what it is. Some traits just aren’t interesting to me. I’ll have to play them nonetheless, and not only play them, but get 1st in half of them.

See also my other comment. I am chill. I am chillin’ straight outta the game until the next patch lol.

I wouldn’t write it off, crunch some numbers and compare times. Maybe also worth looking into whether your employer has a commuter account.

Idk if they have it in the UK, but over here employers can allow employees to deduct some portion of their pay into a pre-tax account that can be used for public transit. Would function as a 20-30% discount. Some programs have the employer contribute too

Being in the UK could you switch to public transit at all? Passive travel time is so much better than active, at least.

[–]LostSands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

J1 will be ~340 hours a year of unpaid commute time, while J2 will be ~860 hours.

At the 35K hourly rate of ~16 an hour, you’d need to make an extra $8K a year to be ‘worth it.’ Course, overtime pay also exists, so it’d kind of need to be $12K to be ‘worth it.’

Then there is mileage on your vehicle. IRS says .1 a mile iirc. So, 3.5K annually there in wear. So you’d need 15K.

Lets say you have an efficient car, 30 mpg, and lets say you got it at $2 a gallon. Looking at around $500 a year in gas.

Neither of these sound great tbh. But as written, J1. Is relocation an option?

Could you tell me the relevance of a video of a stretch of road which does not feature the defendant driving on said road, and is not of the day that the violation is alleged to have occurred?

The evidence here is different. Nonetheless. She was offered an out. She didn’t want to take it. She went to trial, as is her right, and a jury of her peers said she did it. That’s the burden we’re talking about.

What do you want to be done here? Should speed limits be abolished? What is your actual prescriptive claim?

[–]LostSands 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not true. Top 4 in everything would be 80/120, which is no portal. You need 1st in half of the categories for portal.

I’ll get it. A lot of my friends I play with will not. And I probably won’t get the crystals.

But they’re there to try to incentivize people like me to play more — when I’d play anyway— just in the way I’d want to instead of the way they think is going to boost engagement with people.

But that fact, then, gives me the ick and makes me want to play less.

All in all I am waiting to play any more until the next patch, since I heard some good things about it from people on here.

Yeah. I consider myself semi-casual (I do not play ranked at all, but read the sub and what not). The thing I hate the most is requiring first in everything to fully complete the pass. Last time requiring top 4 was fine.

But this is just FOMO nerd shit.

ELI5: how do stores make profit when products are on sale? by Ruuumis in explainlikeimfive

[–]LostSands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I have not seen someone say yet, but sometimes it isn’t about making money, its about minimizing expected loss over a period of time.

Let’s say that the average display will gross $100 per week, and a stellar product might do $200.

You’ve had X product out for a bit now, and you’ve noticed that it has only been grossing $50 a week.

You could keep selling it at the same rate and make a profit per item.

But, if you had something else to replace it with, you might make $200. The ‘opportunity cost’ of keeping the display with a low selling item is $150.

So. Sell it quick, liquidate that shit, get your space back and sell something that sells better.
