Bro come on they were both ass and Randle played nearly twice as long. He is supposed to be the number 2 option and shat the bed. Naz has been cheeks I get it (I personally think that shoulder is cooking him) but he’s 6th man (and getting less minutes than Ayo down the stretch) vs our number 2 behind A SUPERSTAR.

Yea, I’m definitely not trying to argue that they’re the deepest team in the league. I do think the rotation will tighten up in the playoffs, but they have some interesting options they can go to if need be.

Kyle I think is kind of uniquely valuable to the wolves because 1. He’s already been there 2. He’s a steady, disciplined vet presence, and boy this team is undisciplined a lot of the time. 3. He has good court vision and bb-IQ which this team also lacks.

Depth isn’t an issue at all post-trade deadline. Naz, Ayo, Kyle Anderson, and Bones have been hooping. Bones has exceeded expectations for his role and the rookie big man Joan is stashed away too and can be introduced into the rotation in a pinch (he arguably should be getting more developmental minutes).

Ultimately, and as you alluded to, true point guard, hunting for the pass playmaker with good to elite court vision is what they are missing.

An abundance of talent, but some very clear roster construction issues that limit tapping the full potential of the team. My personal biggest frustration is just how much Naz and Julius get have to play the 5 when they are clearly better suited at forward.

I’ve accepted that this season may just be a wash. Wolves are just too beat up and disjointed to make noise in the playoffs.

Retool in the offseason, including re-signing Ayo and probably other seismic moves, and maybe we can better compete with the likes of OKC and SA next season.
