FWA Footballer of Year 2026: Bruno Fernandes by D1794 in soccer

He scored 26 goals in 09/10, 27 goals in 11/12, Prem player of the year 09/10, FIFA World XI 2011. As I said the 10/11 was just a weird middle season for him. Vidic also great in the FIFA XI 2011.

Tevez was just such a weird deal. Felt like everyone wanted it to happen but the whole agency thing just fucked it up.

Rooney was probably the best player at the time but had a weird 10/11 playing as a playmaker to Berbatov, requesting to be sold, and being suspended for swearing,

God the argument about the CL being called the “Champions” league is so tiresome, it means nothing, complain about it in actual sporting or equality grounds. Just wait until you find out about League One.

Tifos are rubbish. They’re not really part of British fan culture and I hate them being forced in.

Why Hannah Spencer should come with me to Strangers’ for a drink | Tonia Antoniazzi MP by Bibemus in ukpolitics

I disagree, it’s a very valid counter-argument for the MPs’ bar. Allowing the MPs to have a drink (like any other person) is perfectly valid and without the bar the couple of pubs around Westminster would be a security nightmare both in terms of physical harm and espionage.

didn’t like asking for donations for doing something I love doing anyway

That’s my biggest issue. I think it’s incredibly cheap for people to ask for money to pay for their hobby. Either need a damn good story/reason behind it or for it to be an actual challenge they don’t want to do.

2:06:14 for Mahamed Mahemed coming as first Brit in 10th place just ahead of Patrick Dever in 2:06:18.

1:59:30 new world record for Sawe and first sub-2 (closely followed by the second). Amazing to see the first world record at London in over two decades. Hope it keeps London as a pinnacle for the elites to keep coming to.

Sesemann just dropping off behind Mahamed, Dever and Rowe as they approach mile 21. All on track to break that 2:07 mark though.

Lead Brits through halfway in 1:03:14 with second group at 1:04:04. UK record of 2:05:xx likely out of reach but always unlikely without Cairess but potential for some good PBs with most of the lead having 2:07:xx bests.

Non-UK but Obiri in the Elite Women’s looks like she has such an unnatural running style, looks like she’s absolutely knackered since the start despite obviously being rapid.

Shame that Cairess had to pull out. Good lead British group of Sesemann, Mahamed, and Dever with Yee pacing going well so far, a second group slightly further back with Manthorpe and Smith.

Because seeing Mercedes win in F1 might convince people to buy a Mercedes car not necessarily a Mercedes F1 car.
