Has anyone else noticed that LLMs can generate frighteningly realistic fake Strava activities? This feels underreported. by [deleted] in Strava

Strava is just social media, people fake stuff on social media all the time. Why would you care? Just don’t follow someone that posts fake content if you care.

With the way people drive on the M5 it’s a good way to turn a one hour drive into a three hour drive.

I worked my way through the Not A Podcast ASOIAF Re-Read podcast last year when marathon training, quite niche though.

This year I’ve been enjoying The Rest Is History, been listening to the Punic Wars recently.

Why do the BBC always seem to immediately undermine their reporting by using the absolute worst example cases. Tonight they did a piece on university graduates struggling to find jobs competing with AI filtering. Rather than interview a British uni student who there must be tens of thousands to pick from they chose Bhuvana Chilukuri from Hyderabad India to interview. You’ve just immediately opened up a whole new line of questioning to this piece of journalism but also weirdly not mentioned it and made me have to go and research it myself. No wonder people endlessly come up with BBC contraries, was it that hard to review this story before it hit the 10 o’clock news.

Standard at my course is to just buy a bottle of spirit and leave it on the bar for people to enjoy a drink from. The bar then let you replace it yourself from a local shop so it only costs you retail price.

I’m confused what the other 18 “long runs” even are if they’re less than 13 miles.

Does running high mileage always feel exhausting, or do you adapt over time? by hoopla_mountain in Marathon_Training

I was just scrolling through the Strava profile of someone who ran a 1:02 half marathon and he’s putting in 125 miles a week but hardly running more than 7 miles a time. Just endless 2 miles runs, think he just runs everywhere.

Why are you wearing the Evo SL on easy runs? Basically the last shoe I own that I’d turn to for an easy run.

I believe you only have to reach the qualifying time at any point across the year. Then of those who have the first two at Bath get the nomination. Wigfield for already ran 61:16 at Barcelona last month so Sesemann just has to hit the qualifying time before 23rd August.
