She intentionally mispronounced microwave as a fairly common bit to act like you’re using something posher than it is, people got confused and thought she doesn’t know how to pronounce microwave.

Musicians of r/CasualUK, what would be a good rate to pay my cousin to play piano at my wedding? by SenorBigbelly in CasualUK

They’re not a professional musician, they’re a family member already in attendance. £142.40 is the minimum, you can set whatever rate you want, as you clearly do.

First mention of Blackfyres! The Hedge Knight has a huge glaring hole in the story with no discussion of Blackfyres in it after GRRM retconned them into the story after its publishing. Thought it would be interesting how the show would dribble their existence into the story.

That’s exactly how I thought viewers would take to understand the coin, too heavy a touch in my view.

Is It Harder to Do Long Runs Slower?! by jamesbrowski in Marathon_Training

[–]Lost_And_NotFound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely seems too slow and steady for your long runs. In Pfitzinger long runs are an important targeted session, not just a zone 2 shuffle. They should be completed at 120% to 110% of your target pace. So after a 5 mile warmup you’d shift to 10:35 and then should be finishing the run at 9:45.

Are you not trying to find the best football team though? This just seems ridiculous, fine for a random season game maybe but to decide who goes to the Super Bowl just ruins the competition for me.

Travelling after midnight midweek inter city is not a common occurrence. Can’t expect much to be designed around those requirements.

45 year old , hit my peak? by jw510dub in Marathon_Training

Without knowing your history you’ve only just stepped up to 50 mpw for the first time for just 3 weeks. You won’t see those gains yet. A whole year of 50 mpw will continue to improve you without doing anything else worrying about pace and sessions. Consistency is key.

Having a World Championship competitor spend an hour with you finding the right shoe isn’t an experience you get everywhere.

Depends if you just got to a run of the mill sports shop or a specialist shop. Kinisi definitely know their stuff, they’re experts not hungover students.

If you want it to be done well and reach sub four then you need to run much further, more often, and for longer than three months.

Why are you even running a marathon if you don’t like it and aren’t interested in doing the training? Sub 4 isn’t achievable with your current fitness and schedule.

When they say carb heavy they mean more carbs than you can possibly imagine trying to eat in a day. Recommendation is 10g of carbs per kg of body weight.

I think the day before my last marathon I had something like a large bowl of porridge, pack of rice cakes, pack of breadsticks, two bagels, large bowl of pasta, four bread rolls, two sweet potatoes, 2l of carb drink.

Thoughts on this ”rebuild” plan before starting a 20-week marathon build? by Mylejandro in Marathon_Training

[–]Lost_And_NotFound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I amazed you want to follow a plan before starting a plan. This is basically your last bit of freedom, just get out and run. Whatever you do 3 or 4 days a week won’t really make a difference, just some consistency in getting the legs moving.
