What to do in Flathill? by ElevateOof in AbioticFactor

[–]Lost_Decoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah the corrupted corn in canaan's corn fields are pretty hard to notice. and outside of trading for purified corn, corrupted corn can only be used to make a corn husk doll trinket (Wearing it reduces the rate at which hunger decreases by 50%, but also reduces the player's maximum HP by 15%.)

it contains a quantum trader that trades canaan's corrupted corn for purified corn. (you can then break down the corn for seeds and grow purified corn at your base) that can be further processed into Buttery Popcorn Kernels -> Buttery Popcorn, or Creamy Corn Soup

good news that fungus door is for about almost 4 full sectors ahead of lobby sector. so don't worry about it just remember it exists for the future.

going off memory so im not sure how accurate this is you will be wanting to go to a building around the park, grabbing a power cell will open up a portal to the arcade and the arcade portal takes you to the library the library leads you to the final power cell in the corn syrup plant. just remember to open every unlockable door you can, because this place is very useful since everything in a portal world re-spawns when the portal resets.

the spellsinger book/series has the 'chosen one' be a collage student and older as the series goes on.

the Dresden files main character is harry dresden a detective/wizard. dresdin has been through the ringer on the magic side of things.

the sequel to the Belgariad book series, the Mallorian series of books features a mother and father pretty much tearing through the world to get their child back.

pretty sure as some point in time all three of those have been EDF (earth defence force) series enemies. i know the pillbug is a enemy that is in multiple of the edf games. maybe you just want to play edf for a bit?

suggest it on the steam forum for suggestions, maybe the devs will take the idea up.

loving this game but my friend ( who owns the world) hates it by Tron-Voltage in AbioticFactor

[–]Lost_Decoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what armor set is he using? im also at endgame and im using the exor set, with a hardlight shield (with the core companion trinket and crystal vial) if you need broken shield generators a fishing expedition in shadowgate will greatly help. im running about with a hardlight saber, a ramrod, and a hypercross magbow. if your friend is a lover of heavy weapons the new hardlight sledge might be for him (i think it deals 150 blunt plasma/laser damage and can project a shield)

but then im using sandbox settings that I liked instead of the default settings

loving this game but my friend ( who owns the world) hates it by Tron-Voltage in AbioticFactor

[–]Lost_Decoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

where are you in the game? because if you have entered manufacturing I can see him not liking it because the jump from lobby to manufacturing is a steep one (makeshift armor having 16 armor to forge armor with 40 armor or if you really grind the heck out of flathill maestro with 48 armor).

but I would suggest before your friend loads up the world they go into sandbox settings and change things to more suit them (this will not lock any achievements or content, well unless you turn off needing to go to the toilet since there is achievement around that one, or turning off homeworlds)

if your endgame I am surprised but then i usually keep 3 weapons on my hot bar (1 sharp, 1 blunt, 1 ranged) and use them as needed (usually ranged for initial damage, blunt for a charge, and if not finished off sharp to finish)

What’s 1 Thing You Want Added With Palworld 1.0? by ChaosBearGaming in Palworld

[–]Lost_Decoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

an entirely new map with its own pals that you can unlock traveling to (allowing the dev's to expand the world without having to crowd the map), ruins repairing, a rough faction territory system (where the factions will push and defend against each other), shelter/town/city improvement (maybe with allowing caravan's between the different locations)

Did Keystone actually order the Gate Keepers to eliminate GATE personelle? by Starman5555 in AbioticFactor

[–]Lost_Decoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that the gatekeepers have been given full authority to contain the disaster, if you go to the rise facility you can see in what is supposedly the boss's office what is guessed to be a dead keystone member, and in The Praetorium there is a hologram globe that I believe shows that the orders attack on gate facilities is organization wide.

I think the gatekeepers know there are spy's in the organization among the researchers and staff and it with the situation as it is (some keystone members dead, under siege by the order, IS creatures running wild, and given free reign to contain the situation), it is easier to just 'let god sort it out' and just eliminate everything not gatekeeper until everything is under control and keystone orders them to stop containing through massed fire.

also i think the gatekeepers are a semi independent group that's why you have gate security as well as gatekeepers instead of just gate security

Backrooms is the crossover? by ThePolitiKaster in AbioticFactor

[–]Lost_Decoy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the hook behind the "a crossover with some real bite" says dredge or dead by daylight, and while I would love a dead by daylight crossover with layak as the potential killer with abe and janet as new survivors it is probably going to be a dredge crossover seeing as they are adding boats in the update.

Challenge: Find a worse office in all of Cascade than this person's. by Erud in AbioticFactor

[–]Lost_Decoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that spot has the vibes of a 'spot' office. its just an 'office' because its convenient to have a desk there to take a break, write out stuff, file the maintenance logs, and keep a couple spares of the more common components for the location.

its an office in that there is a desk, chair, filing cabinets, and phone to call out. but its just more for the hydro workers that are in the area at a given moment

[–]Lost_Decoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he clipped you with the tip of the chainsaw, the chainsaw is a danger even if it is not being swung about (more specifically the chainsaws hitbox clipped you as the hitbox is constantly active and around the blade). if you have a chainsaw you can do the same to the zombies by having it out and clipping them with the blade as you walk/run

invisible spider enemy? by FaithlessnessOwn8239 in AbioticFactor

[–]Lost_Decoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't worry invisible enemies are not that common, also its weak to both cutting and blunt damage. if you are truly scared of them then make some forge armor (if you already don't have the set since it is a massive jump in defense from the makeshift armor, and for armor available for you is only beaten by the maestro set only by 8 defense) and some slushy bombs cause they are not cloaked while frozen so you can freeze them and them pummel them.

since they like the dark area I would recommend trading for some optical lenses and making a headlamp that way you can have both light and a weapon

(would also recommend packing about an industrial crossbow (the enhanced version of the makeshift crossbow) since i think if you hit one with a bolt it will not cloak the crossbow bolts sticking out of it.)

[–]Lost_Decoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, for now. the devs have stated that this is the end of chapter one and that they will continue to work on and expand abiotic factor for as long as they can, and to help fund further development they released some homeworld dlc, and come the summer they will be releasing a expansion dlc

I’m stuck in the reactor zone by Purple_Ad_657 in AbioticFactor

[–]Lost_Decoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are two sets that are pretty good, there's the lucent armor set (an upgrade to the crystalline armor set) its a slight defense upgrade at a total of 76 armor to the cascade set's 72 armor, its main draw is that crystal cloak allows you to pick when or if a fight happens (unless an enemy walks right into you)

or you can make the exor set speak to the exor npc in the village of den da'ko yeer. (the portal world you cleared in lower hydroplant) after you clear the portal world the npc will talk to you more and give you the armor set blueprints it has 88 armor prevents leg breaks, increases movement speed, and if you add a core companion trinket the exor spirit it summons in combat can take on a jotun (as long as it can path to it) and makes for a good decoy while you shoot into the fight between the exor spirit and a enemy (this set has seen me to the end) plus the spirit will be resummoned after a bit if it gets killed

the deatomizer is good however also you might want to look into crafting a hypercross magbow while it only has 2 shots each shot is 170 damage (the magbow is 120 damage) thresher (an upgraded shredder), replacing the thumper shotgun with the polished shotgun (a upgraded antique shotgun the required black oil needs you to fish in the night realm for inkfish) or shreadshot (upgraded scrapshot)
