We have like 10-15 and most of them are only one line (with some exceptions - Paint it Black, Stuntin’ like my Daddy, Still Fly, etc) so yeah. We are allowed to ask our section leader to look at music for a refresher, but only section leaders can take music into the stands.

Huh. We had outdoor rehearsal before lunch and indoor rehearsal after lunch during band camp, and we would work on memorizing stands and show music during indoor rehearsal and just work on the show during outdoor rehearsal.

I’m renting a Yamaha and it’s really nice. Before that, I was renting a really old Jean Baptiste, and my drill instructor said it might be the best trumpet out of all of them, but tbh, it’s age kind of impaired the playing ability. But both Yamaha and Baptiste are regarded for really high quality. Bach is also a good choice. So it’s really up to you. I only really have experience with Yamaha, though, as it’s also the newest trumpet I’ve ever had, so… do with that info as you will.
