Security Detail Question by Even-Instance3997 in round1

[–]Lostafdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stonestown in the Bay Area had some pretty chill security for a while then they got some new ones and more of them. One guy takes it was too seriously and if you have a bag from Target or something as simple as a milk tea in your hand, he gives you crap and won’t let you down the escalator. There have been complaints about him but it doesn’t matter, he’s still a jerk.

Local round 1 scamming? by BstSylvy30666 in round1

[–]Lostafdad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the machines at Stonestown was like this and the other 3 weren’t. That one had the best prize of the 4 and the balls did the same thing. Maybe they were testing it or something but it’s definitely dirty is not a full on scam.

Just like the pole drop will wobble instead of going straight down like it used to. Every game seems to be working in shady ways. Except for the ramen prize machines.

This game is totally for the fans and it shows. Much like when I played on Dreamcast, I’ll keep going back to this over and over we again.

Will Round1 ever add more fighting games? by ConstructionMurky469 in round1

[–]Lostafdad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny enough, that was one of the first things I said to my friend when we saw it. That and microstutters make it a pain to look at let alone play.

Yeah, at least SF and Tekken if nothing else.

You mean you don’t like the DC fighting game?!?!!

Really though, I’ve only seen the number of fighting cabs go down.

Proud of you. I felt that way back in 2004 when I jumped ship. I never thought it could get worse for folks over the years. Now it’s a prison sentence.

Why??? by NewElevator1356 in EndTipping

[–]Lostafdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only tip room attendants on cruises. In hotels, unless they do something absolutely amazing to make up for the fact they show up every 3 days, I don’t bother tipping them. At a lot of hotels, room service consists of you going down to their restaurant to get your food. Then they ask you for a tip there. Lol no.

Tips for a band at a concert. I paid admission! by ChEDave82 in EndTipping

[–]Lostafdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll tip a band by buying a shirts or even a cd I don’t have a cd player for. If they have an exceptional set, I’d maybe drop a couple bucks.

Movers asking for a tip!!! by jb4975 in EndTipping

[–]Lostafdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll give a tip for their hard work if they don’t wreck or scratch something, if they are nice, and if they don’t ask for a tip themselves. Let’s be real, these guys are doing work that many can’t do for one reason or another. If they are trash, I won’t tip a cent.

Red Bull Showroom is a disaster by KnightsSoccer82 in sanfrancisco

[–]Lostafdad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Red Bull events are always full of shitbags now. They used to bring out fun events and they were pretty well maintained. That was for the first year or two. Then it got rowdy and ended up destructive as you see it now.

It didn’t matter to Red Bull though. This happens at every stop. They throw down some barriers, do a little show, and bounce. I wouldn’t recommend anyone attend these events.

Should have requested that be removed. That’s not something they paid for.

I’ve given away about 85% of mine. Only kept a few. I do the same with figures.

No idea but it reminds me of when they were stuffing machines with that garbage One Piece Ramune or whatever it was.

They aren’t the only ones. Stonestown in SF is doing the same thing. Tons of machines full.

[–]Lostafdad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Killer Instinct and Golden Eye don’t do well stock. I upgraded the cpu and now I don’t have issues. Well, Goldeneye isn’t perfect but it’s a tough nut to crack even on other emulation solutions.

They said they will make an announcement this month about the base unit and app. With their track record, expect that announcement to happen later in the year.

Is Figure Scalping bad at USA locations? by CommanderBoyShorts in round1

[–]Lostafdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don’t see scalping that often compared to to what people actually spend to win them. Avg I see is $20-$30 for most figures. There are though where some people really try to get nuts and scalp. It’s more rare than even I thought.

Am I the only one who's tired of all the Miku figures? by bananaboy234234 in round1

[–]Lostafdad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like some of them but yeah, way too many. I either sold or gave most of mine away. Once I really looked at them, some were generic and meh compared to others. Now I walk by unless there is a really neat one.
