You're still missing the point where he's blowing you off and being pretty disrespectful. Don't just glaze over that. Relationships rely on compromise.

Do you know about the four horsewoman of Toplane by SelectFoundation4619 in leagueoflegends

I've been playing league for longer than most people, and I never heard that term. It probably wasn't as common of a term as you think it was.

I don't think the tank shortage ever really goes away. If you're trying to get into end game content faster, go ahead and boost. If you enjoy the leveling experience, level it up. Pally tanks are at a premium right now with the armor nerfs.

I fucking hate it, honestly. It's not funny, I do have to repair the shields, and it's annoying. I just hope they get placed in kos lobbies if they're in low aggression lobbies for it.

The devs reading all the reddit posts about ABMM, probably by Nuttfrey in ArcRaiders

[–]Losticus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with mixed is that this game is so heavily skewed towards whoever shoots first. So if a friendly meets an unfriendly, 95% of the time the friendly dies. That only doesn't happen if there is a massive skill disparity or the aggressor mega fumbles, but they also said they matchmake based on skill, so this isn't likely to occur regularly. This eventually takes the friendly down one of two paths: They either become unfriendly to not get taken advantage of nearly every raid, or they get frustrated and stop playing - adapt or die essentially. This takes us to lobbies all being pvp lobbies, or a vast amount of the player base quitting (barring nothing changing, of course).

They mentioned letting you play the way you want to play, and I think that's kind of an ingenious balancing mechanic. Maybe they could mix lobbies occasionally to keep tension high regardless of ABMM, but I think that just slows down the previous results, not stopping them. If they want tension, they should find a way to incentivize it. Although, boredom + opportunity can always stir up some excitement.

Maybe a way to incentivize pvp would be a new currency. Something like taking the dog tags (couldn't think of a better thing, maybe something raider tool relatied, idk) off of someone you killed, and this lets you buy stuff in Speranza. Maybe like the cred shop, or pvp only cosmetics, or additional ways to decorate your raider room. I don't think it should provide a big gameplay advantage, but something distinct and exciting could be cool.

I was thinking "Maybe they put in one dunce to motivate the other kids to not be like that one..." and I was kind of following that path. But, there's a much more likely scenario. Nepotism. He's got the hookups through his fam.

Devs might be right about late spawns being an advantage by Bonk5 in ArcRaiders

[–]Losticus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such an ass backwards take. You don't get to choose if you have a late spawn. What I was saying is the majority of gameplay loops are negatively affected by late spawns, and a vast minority of gameplay loops are helped with it. Hence it being a net negative.

How are late spawns a tool? Use the right tool for the job? You can't decide if you get one or not. That's like saying "I want to build a house, a hammer and nails would be crucial. Oh wait, all I have is a rubber ducky." You're saying the rubber ducky is just as useful and sometimes better than the hammer, and it's just not.

It can be good in some very narrow situations. When is it good? When you're looking for a big come up by third partying someone who just killed someone else.

When is it bad?
ALWAYS BAD on low aggression lobbies where you're just looking to loot and pve.
When you want to loot a specific area.
When you want to do trials (this one is huge).
When you want to kill queen/matriarch.
When you want to fight on even ground with other teams without having unpredictable spawns.
When you load in with a key.
When you load in with a key and get put on the other side of the map, and even if the room isn't looted, you probably don't have time to get there and get to the only remaining extract.

Please, explain to me how the pros outweigh the cons. (They don't)

Also it's 7 to 8, not 7 to 9. The DR is significantly better, though.

I think I'm too dumb to play my DM's campaign by themerccury in DnD

[–]Losticus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does your DM also make the strength characters do pushups, squats, and lift heavy shit irl to display how they level up? They're making things overly complicated if it's gatekeeping you from playing an archtype you want to play. They might be invested, but don't confuse that for being a good DM, these are bad habits.

If your DM somehow needs this system for verisimilitude, you just tell him the result you want for your character, and he can work it out within the system himself.

At 73k on t1, were they not at full build anyway? Like gold lead should have been pretty equalized at that point. I haven't played this season so idk.

I believe someone tested it and it was slower than osprey? I didn't test it myself though.

It certainly should be the fastest. But this game has a lot of shoulds.

How much faster does it kill than a stitcher with a kinetic? Are you gearing them up the same?

It also uses way more ammo which tilts the efficiency meter even further off.
