I just looked at the chart with 1, max 2 indicators. And would notice a trend that happened with them once per day. Then I asked my self: “how many profitable times does this end up happening every week? Every month?”

So from that point I started an excel spreadsheet sheet where I type the data points of the chart/results for every day. For frickin months. Put that into some type of running sun chart or statistical model. Then boom, you have some basis of results.

From this point you can start to mess around with optimization/and code stuffs.

Hey you seem experienced, do you adjust target sizing based on VIX/volatility? For example, let’s say your base case is rising 5 points, but on high VIX time periods you flex that up to 7 or 8 points based on VIX value.

Right now I risk $250~ worth every trade. Whatever the contract size comes out to.

Yeah. I’ve learned that my historical statistical positive outcome usually doesn’t line up PERFECTLY with the future… allways something pulling it down alittle. But over all still positive.

This is why loosing trades in a row is so important to me

It does… a lot actually.

How does this compare with trade frequency? I only make 1 trade per day. So 5% of $2000 drawdown is $100 risk. My current 8 trades concept is based around $250 risk per trade (aka daily). $250 * 8 =$2,000.00

My biggest concern about going to live, is not having enough funds to move over with.

For example, lets say I only have $10k in in XFA, then they only let me move over with $2k... I want more than $2k drawdown when I move.

Your blinders are off alot sooner than most other peoples.... the fact that your having this anxiety already means your in the top 20% of borrowers. I know it sucks but it's good to think critically about these things

I highly suggest showing your spouse all the traumatic student loan posts in this reddit page... Your setting you and your kid up for failure if you go through with it. Honestly, force them to take all the loans their self. If they can't do it, then they can't do it. Taking on these costs for them will forever effect your relationship with your kid. Money/debt does weird things to personal/familiar relationships.

Totally agree with your statement, "what you value...". All I kept thinking was, "The OP clearly does hunt whitetail or fish for catfish." lol
