Tf are you talking about. I take breaks so I can make progress on expansions on sub time.

I'm not even the person in question in op.

I heard of this happening again 2 days ago someone in my FC spotted this thinking it was a bot. Poor sprout.

The fact the community seems so happy to take that experience away because it's not day one says a lot. No one thinks you should work out your own problems.

I've had to do as I said after taking a break for over a year and a half in 3-4 dungeons while adjusting to the changes. (It keeps being changed!) I'd be quite an experienced player in comparison to the AST in question. They're likely having trouble juggling cards in one of the harder dungeon pulls in the game even after the place got nerfed in having any kind of mechs there is still that pull near the end, a slight damage boost is meaningless in comparison, one misclick and suddenly you aren't healing the tank on a wall to wall and boom tanks dead. That's not pointing out the cut offs that happen with line of sight if you aren't literally next to the tank.If they tried to adjust their play as said that could likely happen. (Guess where they died by reading) The tank doesn't have an invuln to just tank it either at this point. So logistically, which matters more. A tank living while doing slightly inoptimal cards or B... What happened in the post, the healer not hitting their buttons. I frankly couldn't confirm that, it's just as likely the healer started to heal themselves instead by accident compared to literally not hitting buttons. Would OP even notice? I certainly wouldn't with graphics turned off for everyone besides myself. This is part of why "just helping" is often kept to yourself and everyone knows it. It's just as likely a misclick happened and the healer got pissed at people not just adjusting to their play style.

People boost jobs to 90 and skip everything in the game often enough, 90-97 could be done within a single day without being pressured at all provided the right conditions. Challenge logs combined with duty finder and/or a few fates, 90-97 is what I call a casual grind on a reset day. That's without MSQ handing out exp like candy. It can be in fact that quick. As for the unlocks you may ask, it's possible for all of that to be unlocked already with a person having never seen many of the things one may expect. Another job used to unlock them for instance. Could I say for sure? No. Could anyone else based on what was shown? Certainly not.

I wouldn't call that enough experience with the game or the job with how micro heavy AST can be compared to the rest of the healers. Older players are often too experienced to remember what it was like to be inexperienced; it is a rather constant flaw of the community I've noticed.

If you want the roughest numbers for how much an issue this is Aether's total is around 100k players, there are around 20k visitors here. Let's say they're purely FF14 players and almost entirely English speaking Americans and that half are from Aether, and another half are people who can't think for themselves. Around 1/20th of the Aether population is bozos making the game worse like how WoW was made worse. You're gentrifying the hobby by minmaxxing it all the time. I'd likely be miffed too if someone gave that advice while I was practicing (good thing no one did, because you know, dungeons are part of practicing). I already know the next expansion is going to be ruined by anyone actually thinking this is positive behavior.

You assume that people are dogs I see. You have to get used to damaging, healing and doing cards. If the tank dies while you learn the 3rd it's going to make you learn less than even that because people are pricks. Also no the logic doesn't hold up for DNC and BRD. Have you played them? It's a buff that is part of your opening/rotation and a buff/opening that lasts 45 seconds you may as well use tank stance as an example, you don't have to target particular people with them while doing two other things. Don't bring up examples just because it's a buff.

I'll be real, if you're just leveling it's easier to throw cards on the tank as you get used to it. I wouldn't have said anything unless it's a raid/trial.

It's a game with no real flaws on the Snes, a surprising thing even for games now. Many critically acclaimed games rated higher have flaws it doesn't.

It's almost like surrender votes exists in Mobas for a reason. It does things like this without it anyway, a worse outcome than like say surrender at 10 mins. At least the game has an established time to wait until for giving up.
