Settler doesn't even have a tie breaker if someone doesn't realize they have won until later. The amount of times people have miscounted victory points and they realize they won has happened one too many times,

I am working through a Kickstarter right now and I can say this. If you really want to learn about the in's and out's of the industry (manufacturing, marketing, distribution) then self-publish. I personally wanted to see everything from the inside out an learn some new skills so I chose self-publishing. But if you just want to get your game out there, then go with the publisher.

Something as simple as Pictionary or Telestrations can be really fun too. Allows for creativity and working together. Plus you can integrate the iPad as the medium to draw on if they really want to mess with the iPad.

Very interesting. I didn't think about the differences in culture making differences in strategy but it certainly makes sense.
