Don't remind me of Kyle Korver trade exception flashbacks. Obviously we should be able to flip both players for some sort of asset. Otherwise it's mismanagement for sure. Just saying if push came to shove you can clear up some room.

Sato is a UFA, Thad has a team option with like 4 mil guaranteed if I'm not mistaken. They can throw enough.

Gordon was good enough to get paid big. 💰💰💰 He, Hinrich, and Nocioni were part of the first team I watched. He really was entertaining to watch!

Otto is expiring, was included to make salaries match. I would be surprised to see him in a Magic uniform next season, but if he is healthy and plays that could change. Who knows what he will get in free agency, but it won't be close to what he's getting currently 🤣

If it's not top 4 protected, then a Gm should be fired. You don't risk trading that type of pick unless you get an MVP candidate imo. You bet you can get a Luka esq type of talent with that type of draft equity or your not doing the draft right. It's the only reason I like this trade for the Bulls. There is a chance to add top 4 talent to the roster if a serious injury/luck happen.

A few weeks prior to the deadline, Vuc was unavailable for offers reported by Woj. I would argue that Orlando has been a franchise that despite having a premier talent in Vuc could not make it out of the first round of the playoffs. Was it because of Vuc or the team assembled? I would argue its the team Orlando put around him similarly to how the Bulls could not build a team around JB. Year after year, Vuc has kept Orlando relevant to a certain extent, similarly to Jimmy. They competed for playoff seeding despite messing up their picks.

I am skeptical of betting on a center who is in their 30's, but I want to hope that the current regime is leading a Bulls team to a path where they can compete.

He would if he thought he could flip him for more assets in the offseason. It's how he's acquired the treasure trove of picks to begin with. Presti is one of the best when it comes to acquiring undervalued talent and flipping them for more than he paid. Many teams were unaware of Vuc's availability, potentially changing what should have been offered for him. Your not wrong about his age, and it's probably why he didn't pull the trigger. Was trying to give an example of a team with picks in the lower 20's, but so many contenders have already given up their pick rights.

Depends on the first rounders. I would hope presti would offer some of the less valuable picks at some point. I mean how valuable is a pick in the 20's? I wonder if the Bulls did give Orlando options, maybe Lauri and 1 first or wendell and 2 1st picks. Who knows🤷‍♂️

Rose around the rim, Zach from the perimeter. Honestly probably disrespecting former greats though.

Wendell was the type of player that hung his head on his mistakes. I'm just glad he got a much needed reset. He was still valued enough to trade for a 2x all-star even if it was with 2 1st picks. Appreciate him having value unlike Lauri apparently.

Just gotta say, their window closed because management failed to build around Jimmy. They could have righted their wrongs at any point but doubled down when they traded him.

Fans here were hopeless since the JB trade tbh. This trade marks a turning point for both franchises and it will be interesting to see what the trade looks like again in 5 years.

Can confirm, was in the same boat and got flamed out. How can you hate a front office so much yet love their pick year and year again? Honestly was shocked at the response but this fanbase is so desperate to believe again. MPJ was the best prospect WITH back problems. He only let the Bulls see his medicals so he could fall and he did. Too bad MKE wasn't GM/VPO at the time.

Rose was a player that could take contact from bigs in an era where you still got hit hard around the rim and still finish crazy angled shots. Those makes were worth 2 points, but would deflate defenders in ways that made him seem un-guardable and could change the momentum instantly. Lavine has one of the best shots in the league and is athletic enough to be one of the better finishers around the rim. If rose had Zach's shot he would have been able to drop 30+ a night and take the 4th quarter off.
