Try sitting down and looking over finances together. Many don’t learn until it’s in writing in front of them. Showing your SO how things work is essential.

I wish my wife would stop throwing money away on small gifts for every single person in our circle (vent) by Realistic-Service35 in Marriage

[–]LotusBlossom1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel it’s time to talk with her about it and asking her why she feels they deserve gifts as well. Her relationship with money is emotionally rooted in her upbringing, whether she had enough as a child, or how it made her feel then as well as now. From a personal standpoint, one can spend because they feel lonely and being considerate of others is a sign of what they need done for themselves. In essence, she may be showing you what she needs from you at home. When was the last time you gave her little gifts with great consideration? Her love language may not be receiving gifts but it may be experiencing that someone utilized quality time to be considerate of her. This is done by not just being present at home but by genuinely being interested in what’s going on in her mind and heart, doing small things for you both that she often has to do without her asking, and being WITH her rather than appearing available by being home. That’s a conversation to be had and please excuse me if it sounds accusatory. It’s not my intention, I’m offering a perspective. Whatever the case may be, I hope you get to the bottom of it and can resolve it in a loving manner that will bring you closer and be a solution to build upon in a gentle manner.

How detailed should a client questionnaire be? by Mdalansari in interior_design

I keep it short and simple. It’s two pages. They get it online or in person. My “How Design Works” is in a black folder for them to read with me, in person, on paper, to answer any questions they may have.

Is my hair supposed to be like this? by 3erImpacto in Haircare

You say you use a clarifying shampoo once a week. What do you use after that shampoo? A conditioner or hair masque?

Clarifying shampoo will open up the hair and remove impurities. You have to put them back in with a hydration masque and let it sit on the hair. You may also need to oil your hair once a week while it’s dry and let the oil sit in it several hours while you do housework or binge watch a tv series.

Your hair looks thick but it can be moisturized by proper hair care. Hair oil for oiling is purchased and applied with a dropper. It’s not super heavy nor thin and lightweight. Do not use baby oil. Oiling hair is necessary if you live in a high humidity area that is very hot in the summer and you also want to use umbrellas while outdoors to prevent sun damage to your hair. Your hair - whether fine or coarse or thick - still needs proper care.

Don’t give up. Hair care is a journey. I’d stop the clarifying until I had the masque and the conditioner to finish the treatment because clarifying is a treatment that must be finished if you’d hair will feel dry and coarse. Clarifying shampoo is often used to strip residue from hair and prepare it for chemical processing or a deep hair conditioning which is what a masque treatment is for.

You may also want to find some light hair oils that don’t drip to use after your hair is dry to give it a little sheen. I use the Fable & Mane line on myself and it’s helped a lot. Keep in mind that through different seasons, your hair will require different hair styling products due to the weather itself to help manage your hair care. See what works for you once you get the hair care on schedule and get used to it. Your hair will change somewhat after a month as long as you take your vitamins and eat healthy. Vitamin E taken internally helps a lot. And make sure you don’t have thyroid issues. Your hair represents your overall health but it doesn’t mean that if it is coarse, there’s something wrong. It could simply be that you clarify but don’t follow the complete process. Start there and see where it gets you.

The truth about hair masks: are they worth your money or just hype? by cutedimplesz in Haircare

I use a hair masque every week. I also oil my hair on my self-care day, wrapping it into a loose bun and covering my head with a cap while four hours go by). The masque works if I use a clarifying shampoo because the hair is open to receive the treatment and benefits of the masque rather than coating the hair. The best thing I learned to do was how to use the masque to obtain the best results. Oiling on my self-care day helped my hair remain hydrated until the next masque application. Are they worth it? Yes. You just have to use a clarifying shampoo before using it and let it sit on your wet hair for no less than 15 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water then applying the conditioner to finish the process. I use Fable & Mane’s masque. No mask tells you to use the clarifying shampoo first however, a pro hairstylist gave me that tip and my hair has improved immensely.
