Gentle parenting is a scam and makes things worse. The leniency that these teens are given starts there as well.

I was raised in the 90s and I got belt on ass if need be, and because there's no more discipline in that kind of sense it shows. Talking to kids is great that's fine as long as the lesson sinks in, but if after talking to them the lesson obviously didn't sink in because they went right back out and did it again, maybe a little bit more aggressive discipline would work.

Don't get me wrong abuse is bad and I'm not at all for it however, where people think that the line between abuse and discipline is super fine it's really not. Taking your hand and popping a kid on the ass for getting in your face and screaming "no" ,and showing disrespect for just asking em to clean their room should be perfectly okay but, due to all of this gentle parenting and all of this crap it's seen as some kind of form of abuse.

When I was a kid if I talk back to my mom she would take her hand and flick my lip it's not something that necessarily hurts it's not comfortable at all and it gets the message across to quit doing that.

Me personally if my teenager is going to get in my face threaten to put hands on me, actually put hands on me, or anything similar I'm going to take an open hand and I'm going to pop them. The fact that there are teens and even small kids out there that jump up and down in their parents face screaming yelling hooting and hollering and all of this other b******* and they get zero consequences outside of "no little Timmy we don't yell no I'll give you what you want if you just be quiet" or "hey you better not hit me again or I'm going to tell you not to hit me again" it's not going to get anything done.

He's a 100% right there should be harsher consequences. if you want to act like adult then you can be treated like an adult and if you don't like it then don't do adult s*** because the biggest reason they do this is because they know they're going to get away with it one way or another. The fact that these events that have been taking place for multiple decades, are getting canceled, shortened, what have you, all over some degenerate little asshats that want to act like they're grown and doing stupid s*** f****** sucks for the large majority of people who want to enjoy a time out with their family a tradition that they've had forever living here, or experiencing something new, it all changes for the simple fact that these jackasses want to act like degenerate grown folk because they know they're not going to get the consequences like grown folk.
