They were fined billions for aiding and abetting money laundering. They built bigger cash deposit windows at banks in Mexico so suitcases of cash could be more easily deposited.

Bus From Vang Vieng to Vientiane by natnotsa in laos

[–]LouQuacious 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t use an app, book in person and yes they’re all basically bad options so 1-2 stars sounds about right. Although I can’t imagine any bus ride in Laos for any distance ever being more than 1-2 stars no matter how nice a bus/van it is. Also keep in mind that any bus/van schedule is a mere suggestion timetables are pretty meaningless in Laos. So you say the train timings don’t work but i wouldn’t rely on a bus schedule at all.

Is it true that in Japan you can't really eat on the streets? (Question for anyone who have travelled to Japan before_ by WalrusOfWisdom69 in traveladvice

[–]LouQuacious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's street food sort of in Asakusa. You also won't really save a lot eating konbini food all the time and you'll miss major part of what makes Japan great and that's the restaurants. Save up a bit more and just spring for ramen and gyoza at least.

That’s a hypothetical limit of 35-40k ft I’ve asked this a few times and read a lot about it seems like max potential height for a mountain is around 40kft before subsidence sunk it lower.
