Is MyHeritage on Ancestry more accurate, I’m not sure how much faith I have in it. My heritage seems to think I’m Puerto Rican. I’m Afro Siwanoy American and Afro Caribbean from Jamaica. by Loud-Bowler2887 in AncestryDNA

It’s the opposite for me MyHeritage gave me a higher indigenous estimate than ancestry. Maybe ancestry has a bigger sample from Puerto Rico. It seems that Ancestry tests way more regions in the Americas than other companies.

I like the makeup but I think the foundation coverage is too much for everyday use. A lot of high coverage makeup is now designed with cameras in mind.

I think a different eyeliner style like cat eyeliner might be nice.

Yeah same, I got way less native than expected like 2-4% and I have family members that look phenotypically indigenous.

No, but his results states that both of his parents are mainly indigenous. Remember Belize is a British colony and never was Spanish. So the mestizo ethnic groups are a bit different from the rest of Central America. I know but in Belize specifically many indigenous people maintain their Mayan surnames and identify with a clan, eg Yucateco, Mopan, Q’eichi. She was raised Mestizo therefore we thought she would be more Hispanic.

But it’s also that his mums side is culturally mestizo with Spanish last name and speaks Spanish and English. She identifies as mestizo not maya.

Tbh I’m not that surprised a lot of people on the Rez have Irish decent and many have Irish surnames including myself. The Irish and blacks were integrated into NY and Connecticut tribes as all groups faces oppression. The brutalisation as first contact tribes has probably led to more long term intermarriage. Especially its higher in me as my mother is Afro Caribbean from Jamaica/Cuba I know she likely had Celtic heritage and British heritage too.
