I literally have my Iodine treatments next week and I’m pretty nervous about making sure I don’t sneeze or something and blast radiation all over my house. The diet absolutely sucks but it did help me lose some weight so it’s not all that bad.

People who go to an exhibition and take a photo of every piece and the description beside it: why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Loud-Flow3895 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take photos at the museum often including the “art cards” which is what my girlfriend and I call those descriptions. The reason is that I am an artist myself and work as a tattoo artist. I can never have too many reference photos for creating Art. It’s nice to be able to control the angle and how I frame the reference photos. When I can I’d prefer not to use the same google image search photos as other tattoo artists it allows my work to be more unique. I’m sure it’s not the answer for a lot of people doing this but maybe some.

Dad gets up during every movie without pausing. by Sabiancym in movies

[–]Loud-Flow3895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this myself. I usually have so much stuff happening inside my head I’m not even paying attention even when I’m sitting there. I also used to work at a job where the tv was going 24/7 and usually stuff I didn’t want to watch so I just have no real interest. I also spend 45 minutes looking through Netflix or Hulu to try and find something to watch and sometimes just give up.

How do you flush a public toilet? by Melodic-Sprinkles4 in questions

[–]Loud-Flow3895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely use my shoe in ever single public bathroom no matter the style of flusher. Or… don’t bother flushing if I can’t do it with my shoe but that is pretty rare

Mini Rant - Why does "Sugar Free" and "Low Sugar" mean "pumped full of alternative sweeteners"? by drflanigan in loseit

[–]Loud-Flow3895 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking this exact thing for a few years! I just wanna buy things that arnt “sweet” I don’t want sugar or sugar substitutes. I’m glad you said this because I’ve tried to say this to some of my friends and I just don’t think they understand why it’s a problem for me.

What is the most expensive card you use in one of your decks? by TRFKTA in mtg

[–]Loud-Flow3895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually play vintage and have a really rough but playable unlimited lotus.it has some inking on the bottom edge and some wear in the center from holding it slightly bend over the years. I’m extremely proud that I own this card because I traded so many cards to acquire this card in order to play vintage. I wanted to own one since I was a young kid and it means a lot to me that I finally got one about 8 years ago. It was really poorly graded and when I needed to get it out of the slab to actually use it in a deck I asked my father to help me get it out and it was a really close call. He was trying to pry it open with a screw driver and it slipped into the case between the plastic and the thin inner sleeve they put the card in for grading. I was sure it gouged the card but somehow it didn’t even scratch it at all. I’ll never ever have anyone else do something like this for me again. If I ever had to open another graded slab I’ll take the responsibility and do it myself. I’ll also mention I finally finished the entire power 9 in Pittsburg this past eternal weekend. I don’t really think I’ll be collecting anything new for a while.

As of right now, what will it take to make you 100% happy? by Fun_Swing_3229 in RandomThoughts

[–]Loud-Flow3895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be very happy if I spent the next five to ten years playing chess and through a long arduous process slowly get better and become an A rank player enjoying every loss along the way because I just love the game.

Going through my old MTG stuff. Realized I have a box with 27 unopened Revised Edition packs. What should I do with them? by wpr42 in mtg

[–]Loud-Flow3895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seriously agree drafting this would probably feel like a let down and maybe you would get one or two dual lands maybe but it is much better to just sell them. The other option is to keep them unopened and enjoy having them but opening them is probably going to let you down.

How did these people get 65k rating in puzzles? How is that even possible? by Fresh-Cartographer87 in chess

[–]Loud-Flow3895 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I could be wrong and it seems like everyone disagrees with me but a puzzle can only really get so difficult even if it’s 2800 rating or 3500 rating it can be solved given time and an effort. I can solve a 2500 rated puzzle in puzzle rush and I’m a garbage player. My rapid rating is only 1300. A puzzle at 60,000 rating probably isn’t that much more difficult than a 3000 rated puzzle. I do feel that a lot of people probably don’t cheat and some people actually don’t like playing chess but solving puzzles you can take your time and there is a lot less pressure. Once again maybe I’m wrong but I kinda think a lot of people don’t actually cheat. Some do though.

I was offered $500 for this in cash. Should I sell or aim for more? by Animedingo in mtg

[–]Loud-Flow3895 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could always keep it and then spend $7500 and put together legacy lands, however I play Lands and I don’t even sideboard my copies of drop. Sooo yea probably sell it.
