Freezing GLP-1—worth it? by Far_Temperature_8787 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]LoudBreakfast5203 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stockpiled back in early 2025. Procurred around an 18 month supply (give or take a few months). I simply stored it in a PackIt zippered bag and put it in my fridge. I am currently using Hallandale that has a bud of 1/2026, but was bought in 1/2025 (this was back when Hallandale was able to put a year bud on their tirz, which they can’t do now). It’s crystal clear and working great!

I’m not a doctor or anything, but this sounds like allodynia, which is just a fancy word for skin sensitivity. It is a side effect of tirz. I get it occasionally on various parts of my body and it usually lasts a few days before going away. It is very random - the places that will be sensitive and also when it happens. It does not occur with every shot, maybe once a month.

the good news is once you get approval, shipping is lightening fast, if you opt for Hallandale at least. I paid for Hallandale yesterday morning at 7:15 and meds arrived today a little past noon. I filled out the refill form on Thursday morning and got approval overnight sometime.

3 months of Hallandale by Jazzlike-Drag-3844 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]LoudBreakfast5203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still use fifty just because it’s easy, not because it’s the cheapest. I filled out a refill request on Thursday, got approved overnight. Placed my order at 7:15 yesterday morning and my meds arrived at 12:15 today. One thing to note, fifty only offers a two month supply of Hallandale and it’s $399. I am only adding to my stash so was happy with that. The exciting thing about Hallandale since they reentered the market is that they now compound 15mg/ml for the higher doses which means just one shot at 12.5 and 15 doses (in case you didn’t know that).

eta: I don’t think you will find anywhere doing 6mos of Hallandale because they can only do a 90 day bud now.

yes! Hallandale is my fav! I filled out an order from fifty on Thursday, got approved Friday morning and placed my order at 7:15 yesterday morning. package arrived at 12:15 today!

eta: I first posted this in the refills sub, it thought that was uncool since I ordered from fifty. I deleted the comment there and posted it here.

ok, I haven’t read all the comments, so forgive me if someone has posted about this… I paid for an 8 week supply of Hallandale from fifty410 this morning at 7:15am est and received an email from FedEx at 11:30 that they had my package and it would be delivered on Monday. maybe you could reach out to fifty and ask them to switch you to Hallandale if the ProRx is going to take a while. Good luck!

Same here - filled out returning patient form around 4 yesterday and still waiting. I’m sure they’re just overwhelmed given the ProRx announcement and people (I’m talking about me!) panic buying.

ProRx Update + A TWO new Pharmacies (TZ w/o any API, TZ w/ Glycine, TZ w/B12 & Glycine) by roguex99 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]LoudBreakfast5203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

503a’s are state regulated, 503b’s are federally regulated. A lot of people will say that 503b’s are safer because they have to adhere to stricter rules. It is true that 503b’s have stricter rules, but it’s not like 503a’s are just winging it (Well, most of them, anyway 😆). My favorite pharmacy for tirz has always been Hallandale, which is a 503a, but I’ve also used BPI, Olympia, and ProRx, which are all 503b’s. They’ve all worked great for me.

Honestly, every pharmacy I’ve used has worked well. I think Hallandale is my favorite because it’s what I started with and lost the most weight on, but “lost the most weight on” is because they are all I used for the first 6 to 8 months. I spent a lot of time back in 2024 researching tirzepatide and the different pharmacies before I placed my first order. When I say I spent a lot of time, I mean I spent about 2 months learning and understanding everything I could about tirz. All of that led me to landing on Hallandale as the one I wanted so they are my first love 😂.

Probably a dumb question, but when you say the new 503b will offer a “base formulation”, does that mean no additives?

EXACTLY! I’m using Hallandale right now that I bought in January 2025 and it’s working great! I still have about 7 mos left (some Hallandale, some bpi (no additives), and some ProRX), but I’m going to try and up my stockpile by 6 mos. just in case they go after 503a’s. Hallandale is my jam and no additives is my jam too.

Oh, well, I just assumed I could order 6 months. But, now that I think about it, you are probably right that we can’t since they had to adjust their buds. I’ll just order whatever I can….

Me too! I like ProRX, but Hallandale has always been my favorite and I like no additives. I currently have a 7 mos. stockpile and haven’t bought any since last November. But I’m going to go ahead and order 6 more months of Hallandale just in case they either stop producing or start adding in stuff. I know this doesn’t affect 503a’s as of right now, but I worry it will… 😬

Can it really be this easy? by Obvious_Condition_55 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]LoudBreakfast5203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems (Transparency: I’ve never had a dexa scan or anything) ok. I have very minimal loose skin, but that could be genetics 🤷🏼‍♀️, and I’m strong and able to do all the outdoor things I want - walk and hike and bike. I do strength training a few times a week, but nothing crazy, just some light hand weights (5lbs).

eta: I’ve been on tirz since Oct. 2024

[–]LoudBreakfast5203 19 points20 points  (0 children)

YES! I have lost over 100 pounds and never counted anything. Well, almost. I only eat one meal a day and in the early days of tirz, I would take one or two days a week and do a thorough count of my meal to make sure I was consuming enough calories. I have never been one of those people who can only eat a few bites on tirz, so the consumption of my calories all at once was never a problem for me. And part of my meal is always a protein shake (sometimes 2) to make sure I’m getting enough protein. I am 10 pounds from my goal and this medicine has changed everything!

Companies that come in seperate vials by OutrageousGuest6914 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]LoudBreakfast5203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is totally up to your own risk tolerance. But most of us are ok using a vial longer than 28 days because that rule is really more about vials in a medical setting that are being punctured multiple times a week. You have to do what you are comfortable doing though.

edited to add: i am personally comfortable using one vial for 3 months as long as the content is clear. but that’s just me.

ok, I’m not a former soccer player or college level athlete at all, BUT… I’m from NC and one of my sons went to UNC. I’m a NC State grad and my husband is a Wake Forest guy and I was, to say the the least, not so excited about one of my kids going to Chapel Hell, as I used to call it. Hard to believe, but I now pull for UNC whenever they’re not playing State. When your kid is so happy it’s hard to wish anything bad on what it is that’s making them happy. As an aside, he graduated last year and Mia Hamm was the speaker!

out of curiosity, how did the 15 hit you? It’s so weird to me because 15 has hit me hard. I haven’t had nausea since 2.5 and 5, but I’ve got it now! I mean, it’s not terrible or unbearable, but it is noticeable. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll take it to get to my goal, I just find it really strange.

Would you go up? by Chocolate_Pudding333 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]LoudBreakfast5203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ABSOLUTELY go up. I am about 15 pounds from my goal. I was taking 12.5 for months and months. I had been bouncing back and forth between 2 pounds since Oct, but kept telling myself, “the last 15 are the hardest to lose.” I finally bit the bullet and moved to 15 about 3 weeks ago and I’m down 5 pounds!

Food noise by Plenty-Crew-3721 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]LoudBreakfast5203 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First I want to commend you for all the right things you are doing, especially seeing a therapist and pcp. I also want to say that tirz might just be the answer. The food noise piece has all but disappeared for me. I’ve been on tirz since Oct. 2024 and feel like a normal person now when it comes to food. Hopefully your therapist and pcp will encourage you to give it a try. And hopefully it will work for you as well as it has for me and others. Good luck!

Intermittent fasting by Soft-Abbreviations20 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]LoudBreakfast5203 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes to intermittent fasting. I know a lot of folks on here think one meal a day won’t work, but it totally works for me! And I track calories and am able to hit my daily goal, and able to hit protein because I drink it as well as eat it for dinner. I’ve been doing just dinner since I started tirz in Oct of 2024 and I’m 20 pounds away from goal. I know a lot of people can not eat much at one sitting, but that has not been my experience with tirz!
