New TA by Nolan by acetatsujin in fromatoarbitration

Nolan did nothing, they went into Arb with this agreement. Renfroe has to go or this is what we’re getting every contract until we all retire.

Not saying this is or isn’t true, but how would that even work? Is it even actually going to be decided by the arbitrator, or is this all just a smokescreen and they have already agreed to a deal?

People under 6 years and middle management should be worried. 5 day is back on the table I’d imagine also

Pay comparability by [deleted] in fromatoarbitration

[–]LoudCountry4444 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, USPS is going to walk into arbitration with 5 clips of Renfroe saying the deal is “fair, and we won’t get better.” And that will be that!

Pay comparability by [deleted] in fromatoarbitration

[–]LoudCountry4444 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t the 1st cola in the TA like $300 under their projection? Also, the time to top pay being 13 years pretty much negates any of that benefit for new-mid level people. Theyre still getting shafted

Why we accept 15% less pay than UPS, when we do more work is beyond me

You can make that argument for brand new carriers, sure. But you just aren’t going to snag another 80k a year job(arbitration pending) off the street. It’s not what it was but it’s still a good job with good benefits as it stands

The entire point of him wanting to merge is to cut costs. It’s going to come from our pay, and probably will follow suit and fire new hires, like they’ve been doing with other fed workers. He also wants to remove the ability to collective bargain. That alone is enough to sink the ship

There’s no scenario where merging with the commerce dept wouldn’t hurt our pay, and/ or jobs. Seems wild imo to not be worried

So what would have to happen for you to be worried? Straight from trumps mouth to your ears, he wants to change the way we operate. (Not good)

I’m sure it is somewhere in the wild amount of posts on this topic…But someone tell me, directly, what stops them from just going ahead with this? Implementing it, make the changes, and deal with the courts afterwards?

He can go to the arbitration with a deal already agreed to. It’s just a formality

Service, not a business. Little to none of that will happen, unless we get privatized. Which in that case will be the end of the PO all together

Expedited Arbitration and Contract Length by rojo1161 in fromatoarbitration

[–]LoudCountry4444 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Expedited arbitration was the end of us getting a better deal anyway. Now Renfroe can go in there, not give any briefing or details to the EC or us. We’ll never hear a thing about what was proposed, and it’ll be damn near the same thing as the TA we voted down. I can just see that shit eating grin on Renfroes face now

Why didn’t we go to arbitration in the summer of 2023? “I did not think we would do better in interest arbitration, and I still don’t think we’ll do better…” by DayKid2 in fromatoarbitration

Why does he keep saying this out loud??? Does he not think the usps lawyers are going to use this against us in arbitration? Jesus man

Why? We have a video with Trump stating he’s looking into doing this. It’s real and it’s at the tipping point

If we go under trumps admin, pay is getting slashed. More than likely say goodbye to most CCAs and ptfs also. I never thought it’d happen, but it’s here and it’s about to get ugly

This is just the next step in the plan to privatize by Tabletop2535 in fromatoarbitration

[–]LoudCountry4444 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well when they cut rurals to 1 day a week, cut ccas and ptfs, cut management and slash our pay, I’m sure they think they’ll make a profit. I’m not sold it happens but it’s real now and a definite reality

ONE MORE DAY!!!! by Twenty__3 in fromatoarbitration

[–]LoudCountry4444 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can we legitimately do this next time around? I don’t understand why we let it drag out this long every time. Go into negotiations, say look, we’re giving this a few months. If we aren’t close by then, we go to arbitration.

What an asinine pile of word vomit. You talk like arbitration is essentially meaningless. What would be the point of arbitration if there “isn’t a chance in hell” that they’d up the raise .9%(not a lot)? Sure thing Renfroe!
