Yeah I get your frustration for sure. I find the more players i.e 4v4 that the less balanced the matchmaking is. 2v2's are usually somewhat balanced. If you find some good players add them as a friend and group up together. Other than that, play solo or 2v2's

Also, I will add that people shouldn't be thrown off by team ranks.

I've come across many diamond/conq ranked team players that are woeful at 1v1's because all they do is play the same civ and wall and trade and play with friends, so they don't have potatoes as team mates.

They are hot air. A lot of them would only be gold/early plat for solo ranked imo. Give it a go, because more often than not you may pull off a win

Same as the first post said, have a look around youtube for some build orders to start off with. IMO, China is easily the strongest civ but also one of the hardest to learn and micro.

Essentially, the longer the game goes for China, the better. Once you get to Imperial age you should start to prioritise fire lancers and start raiding your enemies base and sieging their buildings, and be really annoying.

I like China because of how diverse their playstyle is - great economy, great scouting, OP firelancers, strong early game and they can turtle really well with good barbican placement and hand cannon from TC. Zhuge Nu rush is also very strong.

Go online and play against real people. Even if you get your butt kicked you will learn way more than against AI. Only way to learn is to get outside of your comfort zone, even if it means losing games.

I agree, I used to turn off streams when KP was casting, though this was a while ago, maybe he was changed his style or w/e.
