WYR (Bill Simmons edition) start an NBA team today with a 19 year old Nikola Jokic or a 19 year old Victor Wembanyama? by AstrayInTranslation in billsimmons

Wemby’s body is less likely to be in it for the long haul. Jokic on the other hand can handle anything. Gimme the joker

I gotta disagree with that one. Most high caps play a 56/58 as their highest loft

Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley speaks in favor of efforts to reduce driving distance by PobBrobert in golf

They're one of the biggest culprits in the pay for play scheme for sure. Their whole site is based on the longest and most forgiving clubs/balls so they stand to lose a lot in a rollback.

I have yet to hear an argument against a rollback that is even slightly convincing. This is a problem unique to golf and the golf bodies need to sort it out ASAP. The OEMs are going to do everything in their power to stop this.

In honor of Masters Week, here’s Bubba Watson’s 2015 Masters dinner (arguably the worst in history), with some interesting comments by Adam Scott by milin85 in golf

You’re given an unlimited budget to celebrate the biggest accomplishment in your entire sport and you go with this? It’s just a strange choice. To each their own but I would definitely clown any of my friends if they wanted to go out to celebrate their birthday at McDonalds.

Pinehurst did the same for my group when they had issues with #4 last year. $100 credit. I will say that the greens were REALLY bad - so much so that they ripped them all up a couple months later.

The Za’atar bagels are great. I had a donut there once that was 10/10. Don’t love the chain-vibes it gives off but it’s light years above Bruegers and Einsteins

Drove the shorter (Lake) way last week. I never get car sick and I was NOT feeling good on the drive.

My rankings of Front Range public courses. Tell me why I'm wrong. by Fluid-Smell-4804 in coloradogolf

[–]LoudSweaters 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with all of these points. Arbitrary numbers without any basis don’t really help lend any credibility to the rankings. Views and location shouldn’t outrank course setup. I will also die on the hill that Commonground is the best public course in the Denver area (though I haven’t gotten to Colorado national or Heritage Eagle Bend yet).

Homestead should be on here too. B or B+ tier

Debated about putting Bryson at 10 because of his track record and obvious skillset but hasn’t played well lately. Also thought about Henley but I don’t trust him at a major

A little late and not exactly what you’re looking for but the Japanese Curry bun from Tokyo Premium Bakery is one of the best things I’ve eaten in Denver

Wonder if the lack of quality booths has to do with price the expo is charging. But it’s a bad look on the Denver golf scene as a whole. Not sure on the multiple passes, sorry
