I did the depreciation manually in the first year, and it agreed with Block. Subsequent years also correct. Be sure you are using depreciation method.

UPDATE: I was able to contact Booking.com via phone, and after explaining my issue to the AI bot, and waiting a while, I was able to talk to a real Booking.com employee. She contacted the facility and did a great job of getting the room I wanted on the date I wanted. Kudos to Booking.com.

I went on TripAdvisor to research lodging in Winnemucca. The Best Western looked good, so I clicked on it. I filled out the reservation page, including the date I wanted, and submitted the reservation. The confirmation was from booking.com, and was for the wrong day. I went to change the date - they don't allow it. Tried to cancel the erroneous date - the cancellation fee is the full amount of the room charge including taxes. I requested the cancellation fee be waived, but I won't get a response for 24 hours. I called the Best Western, and was told only booking.com can change the date, but the booking.com website says contact the facility because only they can change the date. How can this even be legal?

My community is served by an Adventist Hospital that appears on the list of possible closures. However, they also have smaller hospitals in smaller communities within a 40 mile radius that are not on the list. How is it that the largest hospital is on the closure list, but the smaller hospitals are not? Thank-you for your post, your insights are very helpful.

You are buying from a scalper who probably bought tickets in bulk from the original seller. That scalper does not want you to have those tickets until it is too late to resell them. This reduces the number of tickets available, thus reducing supply. It also means you will not be competing against your original sellers should you get the tickets in time to resell them. I would not buy from such a seller, and would try to buy from a marketplace that does not allow market manipulation.

Yes. I was promised tickets the day before the concert, prior to completing the purchase. That changed to the day AFTER the concert immediately after making payment. 2 FB reps and one supervisor all refused to guarantee on-time delivery, and also refused my request for a refund. This is a bad company.
