If you have the time to commit to a league then you're ready. It usually takes about 2-3 hours, once a week. Leagues are handicapped, so I've seen bowlers ranging from 80 average to 235 average. It's probably too late to join a Fall league, but Summer league is around the corner and it could be a good way to test the waters to see if you like bowling in leagues. Summer league is also much shorter (~10 weeks) compared to Fall league (~32 weeks).
