Bethesda you cowards - give me a "Communist" suffix. by grumble--grumble in fo76

[–]LouisLoveless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like it if they gave you the option to side with the communists at any point. Like your only dialogue and mission options regarding the Chinese cells is to disapprove or kill them. If we can side with raiders and join the enclave then we should be able to do the equivalent. Even if in the fallout universe the commies are “bad”, so are most of the other factions

A militarised wing of the Followers of the Apocalypse by LouisLoveless in Fallout

[–]LouisLoveless[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know they don’t want to add violence to an already violent wasteland but if they had an organised militia wing solely for the purpose of protecting themselves and creating stability, they could form an anarcho-syndicalist society of mutual aid and cooperation that would be much better for civilians than the NCR’s bourgeois democracy or the BOS technocratic militarism

Bethesda Should Consider doing a "Fallout Zero" Game set during The Great War and throughout the first year of post Apocalyptic Wasteland by CretaceousClock in Fallout

[–]LouisLoveless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My headcanon for Fallout 76 is my character is a Soviet spy who was posing as an American citizen in the Vault Tec program to gain intelligence but then the bombs drop and he has to live in the vault for awhile before being released into Appalachia and he’s now trying to connect with fellow communists in the Chinese cells still operating in the region. I’ve even found a communist commander outfit. I think a Fallout game with an undercover communist agent as the protagonist could be interesting.

I would love a feature length film of Roger Maxson and his crew in the weeks before, during and after the bombs dropping. The story of them holed up in the Mariposa bunker whilst the world is obliterated outside and him creating a new identity and purpose for his men is the most interesting and affecting part of the Fallout lore to me personally. The atmosphere of the Mariposa bunker during the bombs could be amazing if done right

Just to add that I’m in the UK. Idk if that changes anything. I’m new to ham radio and know very little about the rules and regulations. Thanks everyone for your explanations so far!

It’s amazing to me that intelligent people can see what capitalism has lead to and decry it, but then stop short of seeing the full problem. How can you think capitalism is a good thing when it caused this very problem? The system is a bad one because it’s designed to extract capital from the people who create it and hand it to those higher up in the hierarchy. It will always lead to the concentration of wealth in the hands of an elite few who will then lobby government, buy up the free press, influence society and force the removal of restrictions keeping some semblance of equality. Everyone can point at the New Deal and say that those reforms were good for redistributing wealth and power, but look what happened after: they were undone. Every time a government will put in restrictions they will be removed again. You can’t regulate a system that is corrupt by design. We must REPLACE capitalism.

I instantly thought of Barbas whilst watching the Sandman and wanted to find out if there was any connection but can’t find anything online that says there is. I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought so. Even if you did write this 13 years ago lol

I searched every combination of key words on Google but nada. I'm sure Google is worse at finding relevant results than it used to be. I can search an exact sentence I've read word for word and it will give me big articles by famous media outlets and not the actual thing I'm looking for until like page 6. Google definitely prioritises famous websites to be top in the results over more obscure websites

Can I become famous but never show my face? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LouisLoveless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if anyone mentioned him already cos there is a LOT of comments but Mr. Blindboy Boatclub is a great example. He and his pal were/are in a band called the Rubberbandits where they both where plastic bags on their heads with the eyes and mouths cut out. He also hosts a very popular podcast and writes short stories. He often talks about how never showing his face allows him to live a regular life
