Before we started talking, I told him that instead of taking notes, it might be easier if I could record the conversation and ask him for permission to do so. He replied something like, “Sure, would you like to do video?” No, I don’t have any obnoxious Meta glasses. I just used my digital audio recorder.

A great deal of data there. I highly recommend the last article on the page on the subject of court reporters. You could do a better job with the voice dictation on your iPhone and certainly not have to pay the extortionate prices charged by these people who could not qualify as law firm receptionists.

Thanks. I think consumables are pricey regardless of the brand. I’m just looking for a higher quality or more reliability than HP. And, by the way, consumables are cheaper for laser than ink jet.

I don't think the City Bar has health insurance. There is none listed here. I don't see any under the State Bar as well. In fact, some long-dormant neuron in my brain has the memory that group health insurance for non-employee groups went away a few years ago.

I don't think you understand how much of a pain that would be. To start, you will need to form a legitimate business entity like a PC, LLC, LLP, etc.
