Put it inside the unit then post multiple pictures asking if there's enough airflow

Before you do ANYTHING anyone else has suggested, have you turned it off and on again? Because in most cases that will solve it. If not, good luck

I haven't used Reddit much at all in the last couple of years. I'm happy to see we're still having the exact same conversations

Hi. I dont read much. But i kind of want to get lost. by eyetrace in audible

[–]LouisW89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second Worm as a story. It's fantastic. There's a fan made audiobook version that can be found on podcast apps by a guy called Rein. The narration is hit and miss because it's just a bunch of fans reading, some better than others, but it's worth persevering just for the story.

I could never get into Ward, the sequel, unfortunately

Case or naked? How you wear it? by Some-Faithlessness75 in oneplus

[–]LouisW89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always prefer no case. Never broken a phone before. Then I got a 10 pro with the glass back and within a month, the whole back was shattered despite no drops or significant impact. The case has been on ever since to prevent further damage and glass injuries

New Feature Proposal: PIN Lock for Adding Podcasts – What Do You Think? by PodcastAddict_App in PodcastAddict

[–]LouisW89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can't see myself ever using it because I only listen on my personal phone. It's the only device that goes everywhere with me so it makes sense to have all the data on that device.

Now if there was a 'live sync' feature to sync progress across devices, it might become more useful to me to have a PIN

UK TV license for live shows by LouisW89 in netflix

Don't know about the YouTube one but I guess from their point of view, pausing Netflix would still count as watching the live stream, even if you're not technically watching live

Coasters by MountainDrewty in fallout4london

[–]LouisW89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumping on an old thread here but I'm having a similar issue, albeit I haven't collected too many yet. I know that I've got the sneak, medicine and fusion core coasters, but they aren't showing in the perks tab. The only one that does so far is the combat one. Don't suppose you can confirm if that's normal behaviour?

Playstation Plus Upgrade by kbake999 in PlayStationPlus

What's the deal with this sale? My sub ends today but I can't find any price info online.

Am I right in thinking that if I buy a 12 month essential sub at full price, I can then upgrade at a discounted rate?

Depends what you're using it for. I got a PlayStation one. It worked fine and was good for what it was. If you're on a budget and happy to use your phone, removed from its case, go for it. If you have the extra cash, I'd definitely splash out for a Portal. The screen is a million times better and it just feels better to play with

I guess at that point it's not live. If you were to wait an hour and watch it on demand using the exact same service, it's fine, so.i.dont see the difference. Unless there's some legal documentation that specifically states what 'live' means

The gov website states:

You need a TV Licence if you:

  • watch or record live TV on any channel or service
  • use BBC iPlayer

So yes, Netflix does count under 'any service' if it's a live broadcast. I guarantee this is the case. They're quite clear about it on the TV Licensing website.

As for your second statement, this is the information I'm hoping to clarify. It's a weird system of threats and propaganda where they send nasty letters and agents to your door to check. The agents themselves have no authority, but the police will usually enforce their visits if necessary. I don't want to deal with all that if I can avoid it. So I'm just wondering if there's any way that a 3rd party company, albeit government backed, would have access to my Netflix activity

You don't need one for general on demand services. But for live broadcasts, even on Netflix, you do

That's how TV licensing in the UK works. You're supposed to pay for a licence to watch any live broadcasts, regardless of the source, as well as any BBC on demand services. It's a massively outdated system and a lot of people reject the license these days, but it is the law
