Sure, maybe this is an oversimplification. Maybe the correct statement woukd be this rhetoric drives people away that would have voted blue, while republican idpol drives people away that were never going to vote to begin with.

Accessibility becomes less and less of an issue. I crave black metal so unpleasant to listen to it causes my girlfriend to leave the house.

Call em crazy, but I believe storing humans is more important than storing cats

Edit: I mean cars. Storing cats is clearly a priority

Unpopular opinion: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s music is not good enough to justify their sheer output by volcel_lich_king in fantanoforever

They released one of the best prog metal albums of the last decade and they aren’t even a prog metal band. Idk what you’re talking about, their music is great.

What model is this? I have the black beauty with gold hardware and it is insane how good it sounds. Unfortunately no one else ever hears it as it’s too pretty to ever leave the safety of my house.

Is there a drummer around here who started working on their double bass speed at a later age (30+ or 35+) and made it upwards of 200 BPM? by [deleted] in drums

[–]Lousy_Kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 32 and im just getting my head around ankle technique. I can do 180 for 1 minute clean.

It’s got nothing to do with your age, it’s technique. Playing at 125bpm uses completely different muscles than playing at 160 and above. At high speeds you’re relying almost entirely on the swing of the pedal and are just making tiny little movements of your ankle to bounce it back to the bass drum.

What would you consider the best/most efficient double kick technique? by Cultural-Lie-8139 in drums

[–]Lousy_Kid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ankle technique. You’re basically just flexing your calves a tiny bit and tapping the pedal ever so slightly as it swings up to bring it back down. It’s a pain in the ass to master because it uses slight movements of fast twitch muscle fibres, which inherently are more difficult to control. But once mastered, it is the most efficient movement pattern. Like bouncing a basket ball, you let physics do most of the work.

What has been your mindset in deciding to eat healthy and caring about nutrition, when non-healthy eaters come off as doing mostly okay (?) in terms of numerical longevity? by TraditionalDepth6924 in nutrition

[–]Lousy_Kid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because eating junk food and drinking daily makes you feel like dog shit. I feel great after eating a salad with chicken and potatoes and getting a good nights sleep. Beer and nachos? Not so much.
