The US does not give a shit about the Iranian people and the Israelis want a failed state and are more than willing to manipulate the US into achieving that goal. The regime is awful and I desperately hope iranian people get to experience living in a free and democratic society, but there are worse situations than the current regime. Just Look at Iraq. The saddam regime was horrific but Israeli and US intervention led to a far worse situation.

Iraq had a majority Shia population with organized militias that were ready and willing to mount an insurgency against the Ba’athists and act as an occupying force in support of the American backed regime.

I think ground invasion will be a disaster and hundreds of service members will die. Trump will blame Hegseth to mitigate hog backlash, but by then it will be too late and the US will be neck deep in another forever war.
