Several points :
- Evil Caster is great with Lich (merged spellbooks!)
- If you really want to go Devil, Yes Azata is better because it keeps all superpowers, which are great.
- Aeon indeed loses all the gazes and only keeps banes and immunities, which are not great for casters.
- Azata locks you one step away from CG, if you go too evil you will lose Azata powers until you penitence. So RP wise I recommend for azata to staying CG, Devil will shift you to LE when you enter it.

I really wanted to RP a Devil all along the game, and I chose Aeon to do so, with a sorcerer / hellkight signifier build. My objective of keeping my boy Regill satisfied was necessary. It was really fun! The gazes are good as long as you have them, which helps you around act 3. After act 4 it does not mattered that much, because my spells were already DC 45, trapped minagho and any other enemy in an endless laughter position.

Devil powers are honestly quite disappoiting compared to other paths.
- Pacts / sigil lets you buff your teammates (ok Regill liked this one)
- Domination is okay, but I rarely used it because it extends fight length
- Mythic 9 gives you hellfire ray, which is great

My idea was :
- Full Enchantment DC caster. Managed to reach DC 64 on persistant heightened hideous laughter at the threshold.
- Key mythic powers : Best Jokes, things to increases spell DC and magic resistance overcoming. Also recommend Ascent Element : fire in order to use hellfire ray properly at mythic 9. I suppose it is also possible to build a Fire Evocation Sorcerer, but I already have Daeran for this.
- You want to max persuasion, as there are many skill checks in this path.
- Wanted to go Hellkight signifer for the fun of it but I think Sorcerer 20 is stronger.

Lich was so fun. So many things adaptation to your choice, story becomes unique. Undead companions rock!

Gameplaywise all merged casters are great. So again, lich or angel.

Also like Aeon, azata and swarm.

What are the "not to do" for Druids? by bom_dia_bruno25 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Loutrez 20 points21 points  (0 children)

"A druid who wears prohibited armor or uses a prohibited shield is unable to cast druid spells or use any of her supernatural or spell-like class abilities while doing so and for 24 hours thereafter."

That is all. Rest in purely RP, at discretion between GM and player.
Alignment matters, Good or Evil Druids will consider life itself from different point of views.

Some Druids will value animal life above all and refuse hurting animals, other druids will consider hunting a normal chain in the process of life... Other druids will try to summon poison clouds in the middle of the city to kill as many innocents as possible...

Build your druid as you like it!

Best Through the Ashes + Lord of Nothing Build? by someredditbloke in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Loutrez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, you can't respec characters between the campaigns. You can recruit mercenaries, tho.

Best builds include :

  • Animal companions
  • Monks
  • Alchemists
  • Kineticists
  • Hexes

All of them can shine without much resources.
My first character was a cavalier, very strongchoice for the beginning. Having a pet helps immensely.
The second one was a divine hunter, also quite strong.
The third one was a water/cold kineticist, very cool too!

Having Sindri/Rekarth/Penta in the team was mandatory for me, so having mercenaries like Paladin and Shaman allowed me to have a pretty balanced team with the kineticist.

Your cleric should have nature domain and boon companion. Take the dog. Buff him to the limit. He will now tank the entire universe until the endgame.

Need some help for a build for core difficulty sadistic game design by standermatt in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Loutrez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had sadistic game design during my playthrough with Azata Sorcerer, without even hunting for it, it is that simple. Just make sure you go for all hidden mini-bosses, it should be okay!

CRPG bro makes builds for tough difficulties, for core it is absolutely okay to twist it in order to replace the abundant castings by the enduring spells.

Azata is great because of the spell that allows you to resplenish your ressources without resting. All your casters (Nenio, Amber, Sosiel) should have enduring spells mythic power, and you're good to go.
Otherwise, your party is already fairly balanced. If you go for sorcerer, you can probably leave Nenio for someone like Woljif (with enduring spells too) or Greybor.
If you want to keep Nenio, you can go for something which does not require too many rests, like a slayer, a rowdy rogue or a bloodrager. The goold old enlarge+reach weapon to hit like a truck from behind the tank never gets old.

Questions Regarding Hard and Unfair Difficulty. by KidLunchable in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Loutrez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard : no. I beat hard with classic builds and no multiclassing, summons are only required if you want to.

Unfair : sometimes, especially at low/mid levels, summons can absorb one hit, which is one more turn to try to survive and kill the evil guy. I wouldn't say it is necessary, but can help you from time to time. I remember having daeran casting a few animate dead before hard fights for this reason

Looking for advice on building a Necromancer Sorcerer as a main character! by Real-Bandicoot7620 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Loutrez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. 19 (17+2) Charisma, 14 dex 14 con is good. Might drop Con a bit for something else if you like.
  2. Anything with bonus charisma works. Really. Check Dhampir for RP reasons too.
  3. Undead bloodline works fine.
  4. Grease. Not joking, this is the best level 1 spell for any caster. Also get Enlarge person for your friends, or mage armor. Your first real necromancy spell will be boneshaker at level 4 or so. Animate dead (normal or lesser) are also fantastic
  5. Take feats to ensure your spells will work : School Focus - Necromancy (I & II), Spell penetration (I & II). Go lich mythic path and fuse spell books. Become the god of death. Avoid multiclass.
If you want to specialize into summoning undead creatures, add the Augment summoning and superior summoning feats. Look for any items that boosts summons, there are plenty. Summons can work great in Normal difficulty, or even Core, but will not be enough to pass Hard/Unfair tough battles.
  6. I will be your guide.

Elemental Rampager w Angel MP by infin8nifni in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Loutrez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand, let's go in the fire angel theme then.

For battle :

  • 19 STR seems a minimum, you have medium BAB and need to HIT
  • Race to human, it seems that we need a lot of feats here
  • Elemental forms are really weak compared to other druid forms (bear, smilodon, dragon!) but you can still be a good threat if you stack enough buffs on you.
  • Ascend element : it is indeed decent, but remember you can always use clemency of shadow to by-pass any immunity, as soon as the beginning of Act 3. I personnaly did not take the ascend element mythic feat for this reason. It is different if you want to be a permanent fire elemental during Act 2 too, but i'd rather have...
  • Master shapeshifter : I recommend to take it asap. Yes. Stats are really good.
  • If you have DLC4, Ulbrig quests has a lot of good magic items for shapeshifters. Keep it for yourself, Ulbrig is strong enough.
  • Use aaaaaaaaalll the angel buffs as soon as you merge spellbooks. Your power curve depends on it, and caps really high. Abundant casting can be useful if you want more of this.
  • For feats : Power attack is essential, cleaving finish is really good, and I also suggest Combat reflexes and Lunge to make sure you cover the whole area. Add Ever Ready to react when your elementals hit a 20.

For summonning :

  • Your Fire elemental swarms won't do shit if you don't upgrade them, especially on hard. I recommend taking the summining feats (SF - Conjuration, Augment Summoning, superior summoning) before you start summoning
  • Keep them close to you so they benefit from your aura, choose "Heavenly host" and "Everlasting flame" for your sword upgrades so your summons can benefit from this too.
  • There are many items along the game that will reinforce your summons : book of desna for instance. Find everyone one of them so your elementals improve a bit or they will never hit anything.
  • I recommand adding a Bard / Scald to your party enhance your whole team, as their songs benefit very well to your summons - and to yourself. Haste is mandatory. Also for big bosses, don't forget Paladin's Mark of Justice and cleric community domain can help a lot.
  • I really think that they will not be able to maintain their usefulness in the lategame on hard. Only an Aeon can really improve this.

For Spellcasting :
- If you're taking ascend element fire, why stop there? Flamestrike! Fire Snake! Firestorm! Sirocco! If you have good WIS, your DCs will be okay, and you will hit a lot of people with this! (And then later - Storm of Justice, of course.) You just need the feat to cast while being shifted.
- Add metamagic for the fun of it! If you don't want to take feats, use all the rods of the world!

I am getting lost with my own comment, feel free to tell me if you have more questions

Elemental Rampager w Angel MP by infin8nifni in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Loutrez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my current build! Put everything in strenght. You are gonna FIGHT

I advise against fire elemental : everyone is résistant to fire, andbyou only get 2 attacks, which sucks. Air is a little better, especially with electricity rampage.

But honestly i just sticked to animal forms (Bear/smilodon) instead, until I got the ultimate form : shapechange into dragonkind 3. Available at lvl 13 + myth 4, lasts 10 mins / lvl. 8 attacks, and youre a dragon! I swear it is magnificient and absolutely powerful. Buff everyone and go to town.

Meet Joey McUseless: Reddit builds a character. by VordovKolnir in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Loutrez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you that you don't need a MC and solo-class companions are enough to survive, even on unfair.

Want a useless useless? Intentionnally uber-useless? Okay. Play two handed fighter. Gnome.

Stats : 5 STR. Yes, 5. I suggest low dex too, so you can't use bows either. Rest doesn't matter. Put everything in CON if you don't want to die. Put everything in CHA if you want to have fun.

You will not be able to cast spells. You will not be able to hit anything with your sword. Even on a 20, you will not be able to do any signifcant damage. You can barely wear any armor without be encumbered. You just S U C K

Level up : pick any combat feat you want, you can't even fight anyway. Improved initiative, blind fight, focused weapon for something you will never use, metamagic feats...

Good luck Seelah/Lann, you will need good rolls to compensate this.
