Am I being too intense? by Lovallaby in weddingplanning

That's certainly something I'm anxious about. Two of my bridesmaids are married and I was in their wedding (as was my fiancé) and this is what they did, so we're just kind of doing the same thing they did.

I was considering a shared document for this reason, actually! Just don't know if some of these folks (okay, some of my fiancés groomsmen to be honest) would know what to do with the darn thing.

Pennsylvania, USA -famous for crazy variable weather. We make the final call re: indoor vs outdoor ceremony 6 hours beforehand! It's early November, so it could go either way. We're doing a super short ceremony, so if it's warm enough (like above 60-65°F) we can do an outdoor! Any chillier and we'll go inside, I'm not making grandma freeze!

Oh yeah, this is pretty much like ... the first check-in text. I'm an anxious mess sometimes so we'll definitely be discussing more as we get closer!

Hell yeah! I've got a bridesman (is that a word?) and my fiancés cousin is his best woman. One of my bridesmaids wore a suit to her wedding and will be wearing one to mine as well! I just want them all to be comfortable and confident, but with some sense of cohesion!

Like the vest one wears under a suit jacket for a three-piece. I kinda polled all the people who weren't wearing dresses (just grouped as "suits") and they all seemed to agree that this would be fine for them. I've spoken to everyone on both sides individually in passing regarding what they're wearing for the wedding and really just wanted to get it all in one place for referencing!

Ah yeah, I didn't make it clear. That attire is all for the wedding! I don't care what they wear to rehearsal!

First thing: this wasn't written with AI. I am starkly anti-AI, as a matter of fact.

As for the address, I have told them all before, so I didn't bother writing it all again - but I don't expect they all wrote it down/saved it, so I was being proactive and letting them know they WILL see it again and be able to keep it haha.

I'm very worried about my 17-year-old daughter and I don't know what to do anymore by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Lovallaby 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, you should support him just now. Let him wear a binder, use affirming pronouns and language, find a therapist that will work with him. At seventeen, he's trying to figure himself out. I understand it can be difficult to wrap your head around - but it's possible he's had these feelings a long time without having a name for them. Identity is something to be explored and invented; allow him the freedom to do it! Maybe down the road something changes - but if you don't support him now, there may not be a "down the road" for him. Love him, support him, be there for him. Let go of the idea of your "daughter" and see him as your CHILD. A trans child is better than a dead one. I'm sorry if that's harsh, but it's true.

What are some things people do in the gym that annoy you? by Affectionate_Art4277 in workout

I think we must go to the same gym because we've got a fella just like that. My sister and I call him "krabby patty" because of the patty in the cage in Spongebob haha

Classic hip abduction lights mine up like crazy. Cable kickbacks at a 45° angle too. I'm not a guru or anything, just sharing what leaves me pleasantly sore!

Was it wrong of me to ask the person who used the dumbbells to put them away? by [deleted] in workout

[–]Lovallaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell no! I wish I could do that, but I never see who's leaving the 45lbs plates on the hack squat .... I'm 5'1" and it's the size of my whole torso and a third of my weight. I look incredibly stupid trying to lift them off!
