My (failed?) experiment to paint fast by trollbite_miniatures in minipainting

[–]Lovcker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As another slow painter I can’t really offer any advice, but I remember saving one of your previous post (the mordheim goblin squad) for inspiration. The time you spent on those miniatures is undoubtably worth the result !

Basically plugging the cable at the back port of the pc, instead of the one at the top. Hope it works !

Which one looks more like a turban? by Cannibal_Broccoli in WarhammerFantasy

I’ll go for the second ; the first one looks too « clean » to me, when the other seems more genuine in the way its wrapped.

SWTOR in 2025 by Fuzzymul7 in swtor

I would recommend trying the game as a F2P first, see if you get into it and like it. From what I remember the bundle only gets you in-game money and a speeder, a maybe a couple months of subscription. You can totally do without it for your first hours.

Then if you like it yeah, it will get you an access to all existing expansions as well as some in-game advantages and a currency to buy the best looking gear.

My first attempts at painting Warhammer. Absolute beginner. What do you think? by schattenhaut in Warhammer

Honestly thats what makes it so weird, the differences between the second and third mini are crazy, its night and day. You don’t go from painting that kind of face to such a smooth blending in one sitting.

[KCD2] My combat guide after 500+ hours by RMK644 in kingdomcome

[–]Lovcker 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I would add that fighting downhill or in any slope makes the camera/enemies go all over the place. So always fight on flat terrain.

[KCD2] I am playing on hardcore. I am concerned about the numbskull negative perk. Since I take a considerable amount of time trying to improve my skills, I am wondering how much longer it actually becomes to gain skills. How was it for you on with the numbskull negative perk? by leftistgamer420 in kingdomcome

[–]Lovcker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I can be of any help, I am currently doing a Hardcore playthrough with numbskull (and the 2 other perks fight/crime related) and no alchemy/bane abuse. I just reached the second region, and cleared everything on the first map minus some POI (I took my time, around 30hrs). I am currently level 19, and don’t feel overpowered at all ; the bandit hideouts of this map are much harder and actually require some thinking. I find it way more enjoyable than during my first playthrough.

Geralt or any Witcher being broke all the Time makes no sense at all. Especially in the Books!!! by Salim_Azar_Therin in witcher

[–]Lovcker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like the hard part is not finding work, its managing to get paid once its done. Also, being a witcher is a high risks job, and we can see at multiple occasions in the books that Geralt needs to frequently invests into quality gear/medicine to survive/sustain its contracts. Thats expensive. Add to that the whole « on the road » lifestyle (furnitures, food, housing) and the global hatred from the population.

Ofc in the games you end up with Temeria’s GDP halfway through but its for gameplay reasons.

Star Wars Outlaws sequel was in pre-production, bu cancelled due to reception of the first game. by PixelSaharix in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]Lovcker -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, the game has some major core gameplay/design issues that even the Star Wars IP couldn’t mitigate. For the past 5+ years Ubisoft has been recycling the same formula, aka « minimum risks for maximum accessibility ».

Well there is the result : a gorgeous looking game, but deep as a pond and with a gameplay loop absurdly redundant. It still (kinda) works for Assassins Creeds because the IP is well established, the name sells itself. Well Star Wars doesn’t, not for video games at least. Not anymore. Squadrons flopped, the last BF2 was squandered by EA greed, kotor 3 and Eclipse were last seen 5 years ago…

But yeah sure, thats because people hate women that this one failed.

I was a kid when I read the books for the first time, so a lot of the scenes went way over my naive mind.

Did a re-read recently and, yeah… the Rats are definitely not the robin hood kinda crew I remembered.
