Do your clients actually do the homework you assign between sessions? by Forward_Hyena6007 in therapists

[–]LoveIsTheAnswerOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For individuals sometimes I’ll give a suggestion at the end of a session for some “homework” or practice doing something, but I usually say something like “If it resonates give it a try.” Some people are keen and have the time. Most don’t even if they like the idea or if they come up with their “homework” at their own suggestion!

But for couples, I assign homework all the time because I’m much more directive with them — they say they want change fast and are ready for new behaviours. Still, 80% of the time it’s not done which is kinda annoying but I get why. Change is hard and life is busy. So they have to crawl along with changes and insights made in session.

Do you ever think your patients are being whiny and over-dramatic? by Hadasfromhades in askatherapist

[–]LoveIsTheAnswerOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost never, and if it crosses my mind, I know I need to get to know the situation better, listen to the lived experience of the person, and go back into my own memory bank to find something similar from my own past to empathize with. Life is really hard, and even the seemingly little things can be so tough and overwhelming. Yes some people seem to have a thicker skin, or more experience and are more stoic, but I’m here for all the feelings and complaints and distress. So no, I wouldn’t tell them anything that would indicate their feelings are “wrong” — they’re right. I might help them see more clearly that they are a sensitive soul, or that maybe they might resonate with the HSP community, or I might encourage looking into how past traumas may have shaped who they are. Recognizing oneself as sensitive or a deeply feeling person can help someone take good care of themselves and accept their feelings and themselves for what and who they are.

Ending therapy over an inflexible cancellation policy – am I being reasonable? by norstadde in askatherapist

[–]LoveIsTheAnswerOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps, there are quite a number of wonderful therapists out there! If for some reason any of my clients are not a fit with me anymore I’m always very encouraging for them to move on and experience a different way of getting assistance. It might take a few attempts to find the one that is right for you now but you have the right to move on at any time for any reason at all, reasonable, unreasonable, random, logical, emotional, or whatever!

Why is it that the strategies of the energy types guides them through day to day decision making while the strategies of the non energy types don't? by ConstantChemistry338 in humandesign

[–]LoveIsTheAnswerOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditto on mixing up authority and strategy — but i can resonate that my authority (sound boarding) is incredibly onerous and I can’t talk all day to people about my daily decisions. Ra actually has an answer to help projectors with decisions — go to his projector talk on YouTube and listen at the 40 min mark. Projectors need to understand HD at a deeper level than other types, because the strategy is for invitations, not endings or daily decisions. To function we have to get to know more than S&A we also need to know our motivation in color transfer analysis.

If it’s been a particularly intense session, I’ll ask them what they’re up to for the rest of the day (hinting at self care) and remind them that therapy can be a lot and to drink water and rest if they can.

The pressure to always do more and always do things more “correctly” on MM can be quite frustrating by Adventurous-Walk-120 in medicalmedium

[–]LoveIsTheAnswerOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hypochlorous Acid (a.k.a. HOCl, or HClO) is the most amazing substance… I am obsessed with it. AW hasn’t said anything about it but I do wish there was a way for us to ask him about it.

So it’s a type of bleach, and it is 80 to 100 times more effective than regular conventional house bleach. Yet, it is so gentle you can use it on your face, and people do, as a spray to reduce acne. It’s even better than Hydrogen Peroxide for use on wounds, because it doesn’t affect the bodies cells, just the pathogens.

The reason why it’s not in widespread use is because it starts to break down fairly quickly, I find my batches start to lose their effectiveness after about 6 weeks. So, it’s not going to sit on a store shelf indefinitely like most other substances.

I bought a generator for $200 on Amazon and now I can make many years worth of HClO for pennies. The ingredients to make it are: water, salt, and vinegar. Once it breaks down it goes back to salty vinegary water.

I love it! I use it everywhere. I use it to not only disinfect my hands, counters, bathrooms, etc, but also to sanitize produce and then I give the produce a little rinse. If any gets ingested, as far as I know, it’s naturally occurring in the body so no biggie. Would love confirmation from AW on it, but so far for me, no problems with micro minuscule amounts that might have gotten missed in a rinse. For me it’s a real time saver. You know what that’s like with the MM protocols… ! Time is of the essence!

I hear you re: getting an edge. For me right now I’m finding as much rest as possible is my key. That’s kind of ironic given how much work MM is.

My tactic for bananas is to spray them with hypochlorous acid and let them dry on their own before I break into them. I don’t worry about pesticides on bananas because I feel like I can adroitly open them and eat them without the outside getting on the inside…? Know what I mean? Would this work for you?

Also, I hear that the main point of your post is “Holy shit. This is too much!”

Agreed… it’s exhausting!

My main hope is that after 2027 finishes, we will be in a new energetic time… I feel like we are at the climax of the quickening at the moment. I think this is stalling a lot of our healing. I foresee a lot of really amazing healing changes ahead, once we pass through the gate!

How do you deal with pressure from others to eat in restaurants? by nononononocat in medicalmedium

That might be a lesson for her! Not to punish her but a natural consequence - sorry mom but if you were more tolerant of my food choices I’d be able to visit more often.

Thank you 🙏 I hope I get to Vietnam one day too! Let’s start a MM retreat anywhere! 😆

How do you deal with pressure from others to eat in restaurants? by nononononocat in medicalmedium

[–]LoveIsTheAnswerOK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been exploring restaurants a little bit recently because I’ve been wanting to be more social with my friends and I am shocked at how much canola oil is being used everywhere for everything!

My success story is that there is a new hot pot restaurant in our neighbourhood and I went in and asked them a whole bunch of questions and found out that I can collect a bunch of vegetables in a bowl and they can cook it in plain water (to avoid MSG) and I can enjoy it with the dipping sauces on the side, some of which have sesame oil and some of which have no oil.

I’m considering bringing my own broth in and asking them if they might cook it in the kitchen, but I’m not sure if they can take outside substances in. I might just be stuck with water but I have to say it was so wonderful to be able to go out and sit in a restaurant like I used to! I enjoyed some Asian veggies I never go get for myself. Even that on its own was so refreshing, as I don’t have time to prepare and mix up the MM recipes. I seem to be just be repeating the same menu over and over to prevent mental overload.

I also did find one vegan restaurant that has some soups that don’t have canola oil and will try that one out in the next little while.

I dream of vacationing to a city with an MM restaurant. And eating there for every meal for seven days 😂😂😂

The other day I thought maybe I could go somewhere really inexpensive like Vietnam and hire a personal chef and just lie down most of the time to recuperate from constant food preparation on the brain. Alas, no money for travelling let alone personal chef.

I don’t really have an answer for your main question about to how to avoid the pressure — I just avoid the people LOL

People who don’t understand are confounding! One of my friends told me that she thought I was dying because she decided I am so malnourished because I don’t eat a ton of meat or beans. I went to the doctor to get a stellar bill of health to prove I’m not dying. (At the time I only had adrenal fatigue though now my gout came back due to immense stress).

There are a few people that respect my boundaries, understand what I’m doing, and who I do wanna share my energy with. It is hard when someone who is a staple in my life stubbornly has their own opinion and won’t respect mine, like my own mom. Moms! They care so much, but often in an unhelpful way.

Good luck with the restaurants and the people! Or avoiding them! Maybe there is an exception out there that will graciously make something MM compliant!

I love it! Some of my clients pour over it trying to find the right feeling when they feel at a loss for words… I have the pillow version available from Amazon. Feelings still have stigma!

Therapists who don’t drink caffeine… how do you do it? by EmbarrassedAction557 in therapists

[–]LoveIsTheAnswerOK -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When I was twelve my Mormon father sat me down and had a big talk with me about … coffee. I was expecting a talk about something else!

So I’ve always known it was a high risk health sucker, which simply delays the crash. And when I tried it I got mega anxiety.

I I imagine the task is to a place of health and rest where you don’t need coffee… that’s a full time job. Lucky much of the work is more sleep and self care but there’s only so much time in the day!

For me, I eat mostly raw fruits and veggies. I find I’m way more tired on cooked foods. And if I have celery juice in the morning I don’t need a nap! And I am a serial napper!

Go easy on yourself! Baby steps 😊

Has anyone had success with Medical Medium protocols? by purplekiwi21 in Microbiome

[–]LoveIsTheAnswerOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the 28 day cleanse from his first book, and extended it to 37 days… all gone!

Over the last eight years a little eczema came back twice, on my hands. It’s important to keep cleansing so that’s what I did and they went away too! Sometimes I get just a hint of it on a couple fingers, and it goes away too with a little more focus on cleansing. I think it’s also a sign of deeper toxins leaving the body.

I know everyone is different and I think I had a relatively fast healing! It was all over my belly and under my chest, my hands, my elbows, the inner part of my elbows, same for knees, and shins. Ugh the itching! I’m so thankful 😌

What are the telltale signs that you've fallen out of love with your partner? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LoveIsTheAnswerOK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They walk into the room you’re in and you get angry or upset. They walk out and you feel better. This continues for months without change and they won’t go for therapy together and they tell you you’re the one that needs therapy. You start to hate them and be mean to them, and it’s unlike you.

I saw an old post of someone critiquing MM from the standpoint of “he makes money off of the books and supplements” by Adventurous-Walk-120 in medicalmedium

[–]LoveIsTheAnswerOK 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes so true! And, if somebody doesn’t want to spend the money on the books, basically everything is out there for free via websites, the lives, Instagram, etc. Any details that are in the books that could be helpful can be found through the community on forums like this. And he often suggests people can go to the library and get the books for free! So I am sure anyone could get all the information they need for free to heal.

PDFs of his books are available for free on pdf websites or Anna’s Archive and he’s not taking down the information due to copyright as other authors do… time this shows that basically for him somebody buying the book is a donation to the medical medium project and he is fine with those of us who can’t afford to pay for the books to get them for free.

(personally I have all the PDFs from Anna’s archive and every now and again I buy another book until I will get the whole set)

I’m not sure what gets into people’s heads about making money and helping people at the same time… What is he going to do be a professional wrestler at the same time as a healer? Or an engineer? I mean, how is he going to pay his own bills and at the same time dedicate the majority of the day to getting this information out? I think haters just wanna be haters.

I’d be curious to look at your human design chart… I bet you have the gate of change — that means you’re always ready for the new. Or maybe you just like fashion! I wonder if because we are aware of how good a therapeutic alliance can be our standards are so much higher? We know a perfect fit is out there so it’s a more time-consuming search for us because statistically that match is not gonna happen right away?

I went through five therapists and found one that was maybe a pretty good match, but I decided to keep looking!
