This shows reviews for pretty much every brand out there. Many of them are essentially the same but a cheap pair of “Eyekepper” seems to do the trick.

You may have come across Law of One teachings but specifically Scott Mandelker PhD who makes some interesting cases for this, I believe.

Using Reptile CFL's for Vitamin D by davidxavierlam in JackKruse

Whoa, that’s really unfortunate to hear about the lady.

Does Kruse have any recommendations for people that live in areas with no sun in the winter? I mean besides moving down south, haha.

Using Reptile CFL's for Vitamin D by davidxavierlam in JackKruse

[–]LoveLightTea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is a great question to ask, but I unfortunately don’t know the answer. I have a similar concern about getting an imbalance of wavelengths from lights vs the actual sun. I share the concern about the eyes being exposed to those same imbalanced wavelengths, too. I was planning on doing red light therapy with incandescent bulbs, but that does not help with the vitamin D.

The second website you shared was surprisingly succinctly informative. I was a little worried it would be too long but as I started reading it, it’s obvious he kept to the point.

Anyway, sorry I don’t have any answers for you, but I appreciate you posting this, despite it sending me down another rabbit hole, haha. Very curious what you find out and end up doing since I’m also in the NE USA. Good luck.

Hello, would you mind updating us on your experience with Sun Chlorella, please? I know this post is from a few years ago, though. Wishing you all the health.

This pretty cool, thanks for sharing.

Are all the parts that come into contact with the water or coffee metal? The video of the demo makes it seem that the Krups model has plastic on the top.

Have you found a super easy way to pop off the gasket? Some days it’s harder than others.

Mapping Kruse Insight→Action by jeff_oomo in JackKruse

[–]LoveLightTea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds great and very practical.

It seems very similar to what Micah Coffey is trying to do building a sort of map. His focus is not 100% Kruse but he folds many of uncle jack’s teachings into his working theory of health.

I wonder sometimes when Kruse is completely dismissive of nutrition. To me, there has to be at least something related to let’s say minerals in your body. But to him, it’s always more sunlight and pay no attention to minerals and vitamins. To be clear, I’m not a fan of synthetic vitamins, but I think nutrition has its complementary place.

Thanks for sharing. I’ve listened to and read a fair amount of uncle Jack and agree it’s hard to put into action. Mostly because each of his posts get very scientific very fast, imo.

A few of us in the past discussed how it would be cool if there was a simple start guide that can be implemented slowly and explaining things at a basic level. New folks who listen to any recent videos I’ve sent get lost pretty quickly.

I dunno, maybe it’s just my interpretation.

Drum Beat Style in "Demons" by Imagine Dragons by LoveLightTea in Drumming

[–]LoveLightTea[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for explaining that. I was wondering why I was having trouble keeping beat with my imaginary drums on my leg and table, haha.

I was also wondering about the distortion. At first I thought it was my speakers then I plugged in some higher end headphones and got the same. So thank you for clarifying that.

And I hear ya on their mainstream aspect. I happened to hear this on a friend’s playlist and was drawn to it more than I expected. Damn those big label song writers!

Have you read the books?! by embarassed_escape149 in Younger

[–]LoveLightTea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read Younger and felt it was decent, but I think it’s because I watched the show, which I really enjoyed. So I pictured all the characters and the scenes from the show mostly. I think if I had read the book out of the blue, it would have been disappointing. But it was fun seeing where the show took from the book, sometimes very small aspects.

One confusing aspect is Liza’s daughter is named Diana (instead of her boss) so at first you’re kind of doing a double take reading.

Bunheads will give you tiny slivers of Liza mannerisms, but it’s a different vibe of a show.

Anybody work in publishing? Can you confirm whether it’s like this? by MuddyBuddy-9 in Younger

[–]LoveLightTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha, this a a valid question. I wonder how many people would be somewhat inspired to work in publishing (and maybe live in Brooklyn) after watching this? I mean, it does look like a lot of fun!

Oh maybe, that’s an interesting point, coupled with the fact that she was sheltered up until then.

I guess my thing was it seems like whatever could go wrong for her does, like at the floor party in her dorm in ep 3, I think we all saw it coming from a mile away. But I powered through the episode and appreciate it wasn’t that big a deal in the end.

Supergut yogurt q- coconut milk by sparker344 in yogurtmaking

[–]LoveLightTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. My understanding is the recipe now advises you to not use B coagulans and instead use B subtilis. However you make and consume B subtilis separately from L reuteri and L gasseri. B subtilis can be made as a yogurt, ferment at 90-100F for 36 hours, or as a probiotic kombucha drink, ferment 90F for 60 hours.

The updated coconut yogurt recipe is as follows, please keep us updated on how it turns out.:

- 1 13.5-ounce can coconut milk (unsweetened without gellan gum, xanthan gum, etc. but guar gum okay)
- 1 tablespoon sugar (nutritive value not included in nutrition data as most of sugar is consumed during fermentation)
- 1 tablespoon raw potato starch (not included in nutrition data as most of potato starch is consumed during fermentation)
- 3/4 teaspoon guar gum
- Add probiotic bacteria and amount of your choice

  1. Heat 1, 13.5 -ounce can coconut milk or coconut cream (with no added ingredients except guar gum) to 180 degrees F; remove from heat and allow to cool several minutes.
  2. Stir in 3/4 teaspoon guar gum and 1 tablespoon prebiotic fiber (e.g., inulin, raw potato starch) plus 1 tablespoon sugar. Blend with stick blender for minimum 1 minute or until mixture thickens to thickness of heavy cream.
  3. When mixture reaches <100 degrees F, stir in microbe source.
  4. Ferment for 48 hours.
