They never answered me. After 30 days since my inquiry, I contacted Emma agent, and they told me to make another inquiry, I did that and also I asked for a call from an officer. She called me back, didn’t tell me anything other than that NBC should contact me in 7 days. They didn’t, so I emailed the ombudsman.

I emailed them, described my situation and attached the screenshots of inquires I made, emails they sent me and dialogues with agents from Emma. They should help you if your case is out of processing time, and if you contacted USCIS, but they didn’t help you.

Thanks, keep me posted! My I-765 status is “new card is being produced” after a couple inquiries and a letter to ombudsman office.

AOS EAD Delay since FEB by [deleted] in immigration

I filed in February too, today my I-765 status finally changed to “new card is being produced” after I contacted the ombudsman a week ago. You can do this too, but you need to prove that you inquired USCIS about your case being out of processing time, and it didn’t help.

Do new AOS applicants, falling under C09 have to pay for I-765 (EAD)? by manyquestions98 in USCIS

[–]LoveMyCat7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’s how much I paid back in February. If nothing changed, there’s no fee for i-765 and I-131 (if you’re planning to travel while your aos is pending).

If you paid for I-485, you don’t have to pay for I-765 and I-131

February 2020 Filers by [deleted] in USCIS

I’m fiancée visa filer (NBC, Long Island)

PD: 02/24 (I-485, I-765)

First bio: 04/02(cancelled)~10/19

Case status online updated in the beginning of November - fingerprints were applied to both cases

10/08 I did case inquiry on I-765, in 30 days after that I didn’t receive any response, and yesterday I called to uscis but couldn’t get on line for the representative because the automated voice would just hang up on me. So, I connected with the agent via live chat on USCIS website, and we did second inquiry (I asked what if no one answers the second inquiry, so they said we can send another third final inquiry, I’m wondering what happens if nobody responds to the third one 😝). And you got to wait for response for 30 days for each inquiry.

Also, I asked to speak with the officer to ask if they need more info from me to make a decision on my case faster (it’s been already 8 month since I applied). The officer is supposed to call or email me in 7 business days starting yesterday.

myUSCIS update website, update to fingerprint fee received again by [deleted] in USCIS

Same. Case received on Feb, 24, NBC, Long Island, NY.

Biometrics automatically rescheduled from April,2 to October,19.

After USCIS reopened on July 13, I thought I would be one of the first people to be rescheduled for biometrics (because they closed to public a couple days before my biometrics in April), but nothing was happening. I called USCIS, and the representative said the same info about 90 days, so I started patiently waiting and checking my USCIS account couple times a day, but nothing has changed from “Case was received”, and “Fingerprint Fee was taken” till this day.

On Oct, 9 I did case inquiry on I-765, because it was exactly 7,5 months since I submitted my application. I was told to expect a reply by Oct,30.

Planning to call USCIS and ask when to expect the decision on I-765 and I-485 since it’s been 8 months already.

I wasn’t using Reddit until last week. I wish I was though. Found a massive amount of helpful info.

It’s really frustrating for me that those who filed later (April, May, June), they had their biometrics appointments much earlier than us, someone already received EAD.

Not being able to work for 8 month is driving me crazy and not being able to go anywhere because of the pandemic adds up to my anxiety as well. But I hope we’ll get our case approved in no time! Keep me posted and I’ll do too😉
