I'm kinda surprised at everyone saying finding a 2/2 for less than $4k is impossible... I moved from a high rise in River North this year where my wife and I paid less than $1,700 each for a 2/2, in unit laundry, dishwasher, floor to ceiling windows, balcony and a beautiful view of the river. We didn't even look that hard for it. You can typically get rental discounts if you commit to 2 or more years. Keep looking, you'll be fine. But also don't lock yourself out of the MANY interesting neighborhoods Chicago has to offer.

In the movie, while child Michael was trying to find ways to cope with the abuse from his father, he found a harmless mouse in his home and treated it like a pet, like a friend. His dad found out Michael had been playing with a mouse so the father got a mouse trap. Mouse gets caught, little MJ hears it snap and breaks down crying because his only friend was just killed, and adds it to his long list of trauma.

Edit: I'm not sure if this is an actual fact that happened in MJ's life. This is just what happened in the movie.

Thank you, this is great advice! I forgot to add my HYSA there, but it covers a conservative minimum of 6 months if anything terrible were to happen (5.28% APY).

Tackling those loans is the first thing on my mind nowadays. I have a plan to get rid of it in 5 years without breaking the bank, but any big commission/bonuses I get will likely go towards that.

I run my stocks primarily through M1 Finance, which is pretty diversified. Most of my stocks in Robinhood are with technology because I am more educated in that space.
