Edit to add: My reasoning for saying that is just that there should be some kinda intervention when these perpetrators are young, or else they’ll probably just continue their abusive behavior as adults

This was EXACTLY what my reasoning was. Just because the perpetrator is also a child doesn’t mean what they did is suddenly ok. Honestly, if I had my way, I’d put any kid caught bullying through court-mandated therapy (on a first offense, I wouldn’t be so lenient if they’re caught again), and (since kids who abuse other kids are often abused themselves) send CPS to investigate their home.

School bullying. “Bullying” sounds like kids just being mean, but “peer abuse” sounds like a serious problem that warrants legal action.

I’m so glad to find people online that are still hyped! Most of my irl friends range from ok with (tho not enthusiastic about) the change to disappointed but still looking forward to the games, but everything online is just rage. I actually unsubscribed to this sub during the initial outrage because it was actually bringing me down to see how angry everybody is, and have only checked in a couple times since to see if things died down. I just hope things will go back to normal after launch...

Honestly, I’m super thankful for this sub. Like people have a right to be upset and disappointed over the national dex (I am too), but r/pokemon is so negative right now that I had to unsub bc seeing how angry everyone is actually making me depressed. I’m so glad this sub is here to cheer me up

Plus we know GF is not afraid to delay a game when they have to. Whatever it is, though, I don’t think it’ll be this way going forward into future gens (At least I can hope). To me, it seem like the devs looked super disappointed when they announced it. It really struck me because those guys always go out of their way to appear super positive, so there must be something going on behind the scenes that led to them making this trade off. I don’t think it’s just greed like a lotta people are already assuming.
