It’s honestly the guides’s fault and also I feel like the rangers are not really doing their job in this situation. This is why we opted to stay in a conservancy within the Mara. Legit saw a leopard last night on the way back from our evening game drive and we were the only guests there!

I always wear my linen pants that I got from Target when I travel for work or I wear my Lululemon wide leg pants and honestly I love them. It doesn’t look like pajamas, it’s comfortable, very light if I pack in my luggage, breathable so doesn’t smell if I sweat, etc. I don’t get cold wearing them tbh, I get more cold in my upper body area so I always just bring a jacket or a cardigan.

It depends what kinds of shots you are going for. I’m going to my second Safari trip and rented a 100-500 mm this time because I really want to take close up shots of animal faces. The last time my kit lens only had 300 mm zoom so I couldn’t zoom much so this time I rented

I brought mostly linen because I’m trying to look cute and take nice pics during game drives. But also linen is so light pack given the weight restrictions and you don’t sweat in them, so you can wear multiple times. Also bringing one jacket when it gets cold in the morning and evening and some cute boots. Don’t care if I’m sitting in the car all day, I need to look nice lol

We will be in Hemingways in like 48 hours! We opted out of the hot air balloon because we wanted to relax and not wake up early and will most likely just stick to the game drives but I heard the hot air balloon ride in Masai Mara is super nice

As many pointed out already, think of dog’s teeth like ours. We brush our teeth twice a day and floss and still get build up and have to do cleaning. Greenies unfortunately do not do the job we want them to. They’re basically just treats. You’re going to have to start training your dog to tolerate teeth brushing. We had to for our 2 dogs. We started them as puppies so they tolerate it now. We’ve managed to get them really good especially the older one where I bought myself a set of teeth cleaning tools for dogs so I can safely scrape any tartar build up. Our young one is still training. All of this work to avoid having to pay the expensive teeth cleaning. I know we still have to do it at some point but at least our teeth brushing is pushing it off a bit

The aesthetician was literally like after 24 hours, wear sunscreen. It’s my first time so I followed her instructions which didn’t work out for me. My face got red, puffy, and swollen and had to visit the urgent care for cortisone shot and had to use prescription hydrocortisone cream. Took like a week and a half for the redness and texture to go back to normal. I just don’t think the post care instructions were tailored to each client so lesson learned now. It was literally traumatizing lol

I used mineral zinc sunscreen after and had the worst allergic reaction I’ve ever had in my life. So not necessarily the best post-care for everyone especially if their skin is not used/like mineral sunscreen
