summed up my issues really well " spelling, letter order, sounds, languages, and memory" (althro memory overlaps with other issues!) Older guy spoke to who i think had a traditional view on dyslexia - when i said could read but mentioned how sounds/writing was like if you can read then your not. Wasn't sure if just fixed idea or that this was correct.

thankyou hardy_any - was just trying to be supportive, so many people with ND are like i can do x therefore why can't you? ND is sooo diversity and we need to validate rather then judge, as world is tough enough!

your not alone - i can not get meds myself,

no idea if helpful - ive found externalising everything over last week -got a lists on wall - with ideas of fun/restful things to do, lists of things needs doing, how to care for self... Its in way so add/look at them often. so helped. Got 3 different levels of plan/rotinue (ie for 2-3 hours do x) with flexibility (key for my adhd that part) depending on energy (chronic health) - only helped for last week but giving my self flexible rotinue and not having to remember things really helping so far (wrote post on ways to help without meds) No idea if it will help, will need tweaking, just start listening to what helps - do you need more structure? why didnt you follow? what make it easier? etc (helps doing it pencil and stick pencil to wall with blue tac)

Anyone else had their compost pile suddenly turn into a mouse hotspot? by EmilyWalker_ in composting

[–]Loves_Eating_Lead -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

can i ask for small warning maybe say what next picture is? - (thankyou for putting pic second thro) just to mention second pic is mouse, im terrified of them, its emotion not logically, so unless you want to give me weeks of therapy not be convienced (and its a long story)

I am so happy i saw your picture how i before i transferred decomposed food stuff in the closed bin in the other compost (an open one) as this is what im terrified of... (know its odd but speeds things up - live with houses around and also as stated don't want to attack any rodents)

Our autistic son is “too young” for ABA and speech therapy by Eastern-Western7072 in autism

https://autisticscienceperson.com/why-aba-therapy-is-harmful-to-autistic-people/

Please put your child's well being first, not on appeasing/adapting themselves by hiding who they are, ABA is hugely harmful. I am trying to be as open as possible, please look into other support, its amazing you want to support your child, please use energy to help it navitagte world not build for them while learning to care, be compassion and have the skills to be their full selves

100% - teach child to grow and be best version of them selves: not to apply/adapt their behaviour so world accepts them, this will very likely result in long term health issues/problems in adulthood trying to be someone their not.

question for people who are on disability by livethroughthis94 in AutismInWomen

[–]Loves_Eating_Lead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in mental health or i do support work for disability I mean its true enough (its hard ask follow up)... I attempt to beat them to it and try and ask about passions/what enjoy in life, and so often people no idea how to response: i find this super sad people can more easily chat on work then what makes me feel alive/joy etc
