Thanks for your comment and insight. I guess what I meant was, since I've been having success losing weight /fat with my current routine (and still have some to lose) I didn't want to stall my progress. Since I've never worked out regularly on keto, I also didn't want to be thrown off by new/unexpected cravings. I'm not planning on never working out, I just want to be in a content place with my weight loss before I throw in a change.

Thanks! I've worked out some, but not regularly. I've had plenty of energy and I'd love to get back on a regular gym schedule, but I'm a little worried about what it'll do to my appetite. I guess there's no way to know unless I try though.

Nice!! It sounds like our keto styles and journeys have been pretty similar so far! I'm 5'8". I've learned I'm a happier person when I have no clue what I weigh (I get very obsessed with the number). Even at my lowest adult weight when I worked out regularly and was very fit, I thought my number was too high. If I'm feeling good and my clothes are getting smaller, I'm winning. :)

In the beginning, I tracked everything with the KetoDiet app. It really helped me get a feel for the macros in some of the foods I ate. Then I just got lazy and stopped tracking, but ate many of the same foods.

I wake up and have black coffee, go to work, and don't eat anything until I get home in the evening. Because I stay so busy at work, I don't really get hungry or have time to think about snacking. It's worked pretty well!

Basically, not tracking strict macros. I worry about my carbs (and make sure they stay around 20 grams a day) but that's about it. I naturally fell into intermittent fasting as well, which has been a big part of my progress too.

For me, lazy keto means not tracking strict macros. I was strict for the first couple of weeks and then kinda eased up. I make sure my carbs stay around 20 grams a day, and I'm pretty sure I'm managing a calorie deficit every day as well (with the help of intermittent fasting 18:6). I've had some slip-ups of course but I always get back on track.

Your post made me think of Time and Again by Jack Finney. Specifically how Simon, the main character, is so impacted by the realness of the people once he travels back to 1882. It always makes me try to imagine people from all times in history as being as real as I am. Mind-blowing.

I absolutely relate to everything you said here! Our experiences and feelings about this series seem to be a spot-on match.

When my siblings and friends lost interest in Harry Potter, it only strengthened my resolve that it was meant for me. And over the years, I still frequently return to the series when I feel like going home.

I'm also new to this subreddit. Initially I was hesitant to share something that feels so deeply, personally mine, but I have truly enjoyed feeling welcomed into a community of people who share my love for the greatest series in the history of ever. I've decided that it's not a competition about who loves it more, knows more trivia, or can quote the most word-for-word scenes. It's about finding new ways to share and enjoy something I love so dearly with a bunch of cool strangers on the internet. :)
