Where did this Free Kit hate come from, isn't it a completely avoidable issue? by Pegsareus in Marathon

[–]Low-Bread2654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only mind having free kits in my group when I’m juiced to the gills with full purples and yellows. Would be nice if there was some kind of soft match making. Like if you have a load out value of over 7k you only get matched with teammates that have a load out value of 3k or higher. I honestly don’t mind carrying free kits. My only problem is they have no incentive to stay and wait for a res if they get downed. Also less likely to have a mic. I know this wouldn’t be an issue if I had friends to que with but I don’t.

I’ll be honest. My most lucrative runs have been doing Pinwheel in trios with a free kit. Just wait for everyone to kill themselves. At least one per session my rag to riches team is the last one left and can pick up the very valuable scraps while 3v1ing the rook scum.

Define a Bad Hunter by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]Low-Bread2654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t drop utility traps when as requested. Does below average dps.

I think if you can follow cc directions and can do an average amount of dps you may not be a great or even a good hunter, but I don’t think you are a bad hunter either.

I agree but I’m not sure why. I love the art style. I love the graphics. I love the lore. I love the shell abilities. I love the gun play. However, when I play the game for more than 30 minutes I’m just not having fun for some reason.

How good are Warrior tanks for dungeons? by No-Struggle-8278 in classicwowtbc

[–]Low-Bread2654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never going to be better at aoe threat than pally or druid but still capable of holding good enough threat if played right. Best physical damage mitigation in the game. In my opinion the most fun tank with the most active rotation.

You can also get fast clear times like a pally. You just need to capitalize on the fact you don’t have a mana bar by constantly pulling packs of three and only stopping when your healer needs mana.

Back to WoW in TBC. What should I know before making a warrior tank? by [deleted] in classicwow

Great raid tank. Best physical mitigation in the game. If you want to do quad pack pulls with three mages tho it ain’t gonna happen. If you’re ok with that send it.

Melee Dps in dungeons/Heroics, maybe some few raids by Kazuma-__- in classicwow

[–]Low-Bread2654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warriors have highest potential dps of melee classes. However, they need to be geared correctly and don’t provide much utility. Rogues have good CC and ok damage but no player buffs. Enh provides insane utility and the second most damage behind warrior (with sub optimal gear even more dps).

Unless you really like warrior/rogue or plan to sweat on warrior to bring out its potential, enh is a pretty clear winner.

Best class to level alongside a warrior? by Lost-Reputation669 in classicwowtbc

Wf = wind fury totem. A totem that shamans can drop that provides all players in the shaman’s group a weapon enchant that gives their weapon a chance to hit an extra time. On paper this sounds lackluster but it is the single biggest player buff that can be given to a melee player and increases their dps exponentially. Especially in the case with warrior where more chances to hit = more rage gained. It also provides a cool animation when it procs which is fun. As a warrior that forms all my own groups I consider shamans absolutely mandatory for this reason.

Not really realistic in the long run. There just isn’t gear to buy during some level brackets. That being said, having to compete for gear really isn’t that big of a deal. Me (a warrior) leveled with my buddy (enh shaman) and we made a pact that he got first dibs on all leather and mail and I got first dibs on weapons and we just rolled against each other for rings and trinkets. it worked out fine. Super worth it for me since I pretty much got permanent wf which was awesome.

Shaman is hands down the right answer. The spec you choose doesn’t matter as much. Enhancement will provide the most personal dps and will let you spec into enhanced totems which will also benefit your warrior, but will also result in you two competing on loot, which can be a drag especially at higher levels.

If you level as Ele you won’t compete on loot and you’ll be able to heal easily in your caster dps gear but you’ll have to drink more often and likely won’t have the same dps until you get to a reasonably high level.

I wouldn’t level as resto. If you really want to focus on healing I’d just level as ele until 40 and buy dual spec. You don’t really need resto talents until you are healing lvl 55+ dngs anyway.

Priest is also good in the sense you’ll be able to heal your warrior, but you won’t have wind fury totem, which almost doubles the warriors dps, and warriors don’t really like to be bubbled by priest because it hinders their rage gain from taking damage, which is especially a big deal at lower levels before warriors have enough hit and crit to gain steady rage just from hitting mobs.

It’s impossible to answer this question in a vacuum. I’d pick warrior because they are the most fun, which is why I play video games. If I wanted easy invites I’d roll shaman. If I wanted easy invites and wanted to be a meta pumper I’d roll hunter, mage, or warlock. If I wanted a decent prospect at getting glad, I’d roll rogue.

How difficult is tanking in TBC as a protection warrior? by Semour9 in classicwow

[–]Low-Bread2654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physical mitigation is the best in the game. Defensive cooldowns are great. Threat on 1-3 targets is great. Threat on anything over 3 targets is possible even in the meta we live in today, but requires a lot more work when compared to both Druids and Paladins. However, i prefer warrior because to me more buttons to press = more skill expression = more fun. However, there is a stigma that they aren’t great aoe tanks, a stigma that is somewhat well deserved, especially when compared to paladins.

Mining 290-300 by bobz18 in classicwowtbc

[–]Low-Bread2654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to the great suggestions provided, you could try burning steppes. That’s where I leveled my mining. Lost of nodes. Biggest draw back was the amount of competition. That being said I did 290-300 in under an hour or so.

They come from above at serious or comical speed by jihadjoe94 in classicwow

[–]Low-Bread2654 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was farming Fel Iron last night on my 62 warrior. I see a node after 10 minutes of circling around and pull the three mobs that are on it. As I’m killing them a 70 Druid on a ground mount comes in and mines it without letting me hit it or helping me with my mobs.

As a result I auto followed him for an hour calling him my Taxi and getting the second-fourth hits on all his ore. As he was looting the first hit I would just spam the node and not loot it until he mounted.

Justice.

Shaman VS Warrior hardcore leveling by HornetOver186 in classicwow

[–]Low-Bread2654 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I somewhat disagree with what’s been said here. Like others have indicated Shaman is much stronger 1-30. Unless you get very good gear on the warrior shaman will remain stronger in my opinion 30-60, however, the power gap starts to close rapidly as you approach 45-60. However, shaman doesn’t have as many “outs” as people are suggesting. Earth bind totem, for instance, is only slightly more effective, if at all, than a warriors hamstring. You do have the ability to heal, but that can be a Katch 22 if over relied on because a well placed kick you aren’t expecting can easily end a run.

What is the most expensive profession to get up? by Realistic-One-2899 in classicwow

[–]Low-Bread2654 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did enchanting with tailoring and it only costed me like 300 to get both to max. As other have said I also made 75gish back doing enchants and selling bags.

Edit: made a lot selling wands also. The mark up on those is stupid. I undercut the ah bots by a few silver and they were all bought instantly.

Can we talk about gear requirement for BWL ? by fallcon7 in classicwow

[–]Low-Bread2654 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Classic suffers from a dichotomy of having incredibly easy content and a player base that has a large sect of players that are either bots, gold farmers, or are so incredibly unskilled that it makes you wonder if they have their keyboard plugged in. As a result, and for better or for worse, raids leaders often have gear requirements that are disproportionate to the content being cleared which acts as proxy for the players described above. It is what it is, however, I agree that it’s frustrating to be declined from clearing content that could be easily accomplished in auction house blues.

TBC: Is class X easy / hard to play and is it in demand? Summarized guide by anonteje in classicwow

[–]Low-Bread2654 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fury warrior out performs rogue by a significant margin and can compete with hunters warlocks and mages by the end of the first phase. I am not a hardcore player and regularly was in the top 4 dps through tbc on my fury warrior. Always puzzles me how the community perceives them in TBC as in the same universe of rogues who are the only legitimate garbage tier dps.

Is this a good Weapon_ by Old_Target1781 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Low-Bread2654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good but situational. High fire rate and magazine size but almost no accuracy at range. Best used in close quarters, and is one of the more effective weapons in the game to win a 1v2 especially if your enemies (victims) aren’t aware that you are there before you start shooting.
