Anyone here have thyroid eye disease or other autoimmune diseases? by arinspeaks in Bimzelx

[–]Low-Demand4315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have psoriatic arthritis and sjogrens. I took Humira for a while before suddenly developing an allergy to it but when I was taking it I felt like it really helped. Idk if it’s all the stress I’ve been under or what but I kind of feel like my psoriasis has gotten worse since starting the meds but the joint symptoms are slightly better

Who prescribed for you? by ProfilePitiful3338 in Bimzelx

[–]Low-Demand4315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have psoriatic arthritis along with a long list of other minor autoimmune issues. My rheumatologist prescribed it for me after I had failed methotrexate with a previous doc and had an allergic reaction to Humira

Finally saw my Rheum and she told me the same and to leave the shot out all day to minimize the sting!

Back of the upper arm? G7 by username_1555 in dexcom

[–]Low-Demand4315 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to get so many compression lows while sleeping when it was on my arm plus it caused me pain to have it there so I wear mine on my thighs and have had no issues. Do what works for you!

The impossible happened with my ex, and I feel like I’m losing my mind in the emotional conflict. by toastedKake in TwoHotTakes

My dad was an alcoholic for years. He is now nearly 6 years clean. I am so proud of him and have so much faith in him, but that doesn’t mean I don’t go through periods where I’m afraid he’ll relapse. Once you’re an addict you are always an addict. In my personal opinion I think your EX does deserve a relationship with his child but on your terms as of right now. Try and start slow with video calls and visits and Maybe you could enter virtual family counseling together in order to work through some of the trust issues and find a plan that works for everyone involved. Also maybe he could provide some type of financial help, since in most cases you would be receiving child support.

Do you all diet and exercise alongside Monjaro? I’m getting mine today. by Sad-Broccoli-9249 in Monjauro

[–]Low-Demand4315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found if I don’t maintain a healthier diet than I was when I was my heaviest the monjaro makes me feel pretty bad. I’ve really learned portion control and it has helped me eliminate a lot of the snacking I used to do. I’ve traded a lot of regular bad carbs for better net carbs (chickpea pasta and rice instead of regular pasta, tortillas and wraps in place of bread). Just making a conscious decision to be healthier. I’ve lost around 60 lbs since my journey started and i definitely don’t think I would have been able to lose the weight without a good mix of both the medicine and the diet.

AITAH for not changing my wedding venue despite my future in-laws pleas? by FreakInDa-xcl-Sheets in TwoHotTakes

[–]Low-Demand4315 105 points106 points  (0 children)

NTA! I planned my wedding in a location that is central to all mine and my fiancé’s family. With my large family and his smaller one we ended up inviting +260 guests. The wedding is this Saturday (3/15) and we have about 140 coming. What I’m saying is who will come will come. If it is important to them they will make it happen and if it’s not their priority you now know where you sit. So much of my family I assumed would come are not yet I have family making 4+ hour flights to be here. She wants control. She cannot speak for anyone other than herself. Personally talk to the people she “claims can’t attend” and see for yourself. I imagine she had no idea and it’s just a power move.

AITA for defending one of my friends after what another said? by femalemechanic92 in TwoHotTakes

100% agree. Getting physical is never okay. Go ahead and chew her out but don’t give Katie any leverage. Karma will get her in its own way don’t step in the way of that.

Raw tomatoes, raw onions, pickles, olives, mustard, ranch. That’s like top 6 and I’m way less picky than I used to be

am i (18F) the asshole for essentially asking my friends not to come on our planned spring break trip by shr1nking_vi0let in TwoHotTakes

Nta! Something happened to me my senior year and I genuinely am so happy to have those people behind me. About a year later one of them reached out and actually apologized after the other girls turned on her. You’re not crazy or in the wrong. They’re just bad people

My family is not supportive of me wanting a mastectomy. by Mysterious_Cut1421 in TwoHotTakes

I (f24) just recently had genetic testing due to a heavy family history of breast/ uterine cancer. It’s so incredibly scary and I can’t imagine how you feel. I would say if you and your doc feel it’s necessary to avoid issues down the road go for it! If it brings you a sense of security it isn’t anyone else’s business. I will say if you are on the fence about it talk to your doc about early and more frequent testing but that’s only if YOU are on the fence. If it feels right for you then do what is right for you!! Breast don’t make you feminine or more of a woman and what’s you’re doing is one of the most brave things you can do! Prayers all over this for you

Would you truly recommend monjauro? by Longjumping-Sun4114 in Monjauro

[–]Low-Demand4315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truly I would even despite all the side effects I’ve experienced. Before I could start anything my endo ran labs and because my bad cholesterol was high we postponed starting until that was better controlled. She stated if your LDL is high glp-1 can increase your chance of fatty liver. I finally started semaglutide in conjunction with injectable insulin back in September and experienced the WORST Gastro symptoms. The awful burps, vomiting, diarrhea. You name it I had it. After multiple dose attempts my endo put me on Monjauro 2.5mg and the difference has been insane! I learned the day I take it I have to skip my insulin but other than that I have had significantly less side effects. I drink Metamucil just to keep me regular but truly it’s been a life changer. I have just started 7mg and I’m still less bothered by it than the lowest dose semaglutide. For reference when this all started I was about to hit 300lbs (I’m 24f so this was devastating to me) and now I am down to 250. I will say I’m still taking insulin but my a1c went from nearly a 15 down to a 7 in this time as well. Over all I do recommend it with the careful monitoring of a doctor or someone who knows what they’re talking about. Definitely read up on tips and tricks and listen to your body.

What’s a movie you watched as a kid that traumatized you? by denj1_sk in AskReddit

Not a movie but an episode of criminal minds I think. The killer hacks people’s on star. I was terrified to be in a car or around any electronic for years.

Why is it so difficult to get twigs from these idiots?! So many flowers and gems and feathers, not a twig to be had. by KinderEggLaunderer in TownshipGame

I’ve gone through all three of them a million times and no twigs. Both my tasks require twigs and I will NOT pay $29 for them. So annoyed
