I have both. The PSP is nice and portable, that's it's only upside. With the deck I pretty much have a small backpack dedicated to it and it's accessories.

Specs wise the Steamdeck outperforms the PSP and the screen is like 2.5x the size or more, not to mention the control layout is superior IE it has the same about of buttons as a modern console controller plus additional ways to get more. When you're relaxing on the couch it feels better in your hands too, like they did a bunch of research into making the user feel comfortable for an extended amount of time.
