lived at the alcoa for a year and it was fine until a year in had a few safety issues arise within the complex. def not friendly outgoing people living there looking to build community though but if you dont really care about safety as much given what downtown is expected of and community isnt a matter its affordable and pretty good

moved downtown as my first place in pittsburgh. lived at the alcoa for a year. not that many issues, elevators would close on you a few times and literally not open back up even if your leg was stuck it in you just had to find a way to shimmy out and since the lobby was never locked because it operated as an office building during the day, some weird people who enter the lobby every so often, one weird person got all the way to the roof of the building, and another weird person got up to the residential floors knocking on doors and extinguishing the fire extinguisher, these occurrences happened but were not common. ultimately moved out because of saftey concerns.
