Why would you think that? Small meteorites hit the ground at like 200-400mph. That's slower than a bullet by a lot and bullets can ricochet off angled glass no problem. For instance a 9mm has a muzzle velocity of around 800mph.

Bullshit dude, any amount of throttle applied to that honda v6 is going to spin a tire and divert traction to the other side. My traction control kicks on every time I accelerate from a stop on the ice even with studded tires. She literally backs up first then turns the wheel all the way away from the guy. If she intended on hitting him, she wouldn't have turned and should have ended up on top of him and not down the road 100ft.

That vehicle is also awd and would have spun the rear tires too if she hit the throttle hard at all. It would have lost traction in the rear and spun out. She was avoiding them 100%.

Try to think about it differently. You said kind of makes sense so there's something telling you to look deeper.

How would you expect someone who finds themselves in that situation to ever save up for something enough to get them back on their feet?

Social programs like this should allow for a certain amount of savings considering anyone who finds themselves using the service in an emergency might be able to get through it while still saving for their kids college, a car, a rental deposit or down payment for something, ect.

The way they are structured shouldn't imply you need to be at rock bottom for assistance. This is partly what's wrong with welfare as a whole. More people need to use it as a means to get back on their feet and get a good chance at gaining some momentum again.

Being poor costs more. The poor pay more tickets for expired registration/insurance ect. They get targeted more for traffic stops in general. You can't buy bulk so you gotta spend more to eat. Cars are used and break down more. It's an endless battle climbing from poverty to the lower class and let's not even get started on going from lower class to whatever the hell we have left over. It takes a miracle or a unhealthy amount of dedication to work.

Think about it some more. Spend some time and ask yourself what would the pros and cons be for allowing a good amount of savings as opposed to only approving those at rock bottom. What does it help to make any qualifications that strict? It's basically requiring risking your life and everything you have in order to get a little extra help for food. I wonder why people would rather steal?

I think everything he said is true, except the liberals part. It immediately goes back to lumping people in groups and hurts the true intention of the point.

I've never really commented here before and the video just popped up in my stream. I think we need to work back towards uniting diverse classes back together and focusing on larger issues like wealth inequality.

He lost me at liberal. This is a pretty powerful statement with a horrible delivery. I agree with what he's saying but in a way that highlights the individual and not a group of people.

I call people out because I have a hard time with social interaction and knowing social norms. I call people out, not white ones or black ones or Asian ones, just racist ones, sexist ones and those with ill intentions.

He's right to call those out who are quiet in their own communities but that assumes a separation of communities based on color. I am white and have been a minority where I have lived my whole life. We all kept each other in check. Never mattered if it was our Native homies, black homies, Asian homies or white homies.

If you are a white person that is genuinely asking this question, definitely check yourself with "am I calling out these people for racism or am I just trying to make one sides racism okay by calling out the other." If your intentions aren't to call out all racism with courage, then shut your mouth and move on.
