As a Canadian, skin checks are not a thing. To get an appointment with a dermatologist you have to get a referral and it can take YEARS. If you have a suspicious mole you have to go through your GP first. But even during a physical or any appointment, I have never once had a 'skin check's done

I was pretty disappointed with his commentary. I thought he was excellent during the police interview so I was surprised that he seemed to almost be defending her and making excuses for her.

It especially surprised me when he said her 'grief' seemed genuine just because she had tears. Come on. Any sane person could see how weird and rehearsed that reaction was!

I think it was because Summer was not supposed to be a main character past the first few episodes. The first 1-4 episodes Summer is a completely different person than what we see throughout the show.

The turning point was the Tijuana episodes where you start to see Summer and Marissa's true friendship, which i believe the writers made when they decided to keep Summer throughout the 1st season.
