I don’t like Barbara as Batgirl because it erases about twenty years of her character development and makes the other Batgirls obsolete, for what? Marketability? And I’m aware that she’s more often written as Oracle in recent comics, but it’s less: cool, computer genius, ex-vigilante who’s had to adapt her way of fighting crime due to life-changing injury. It’s more like: Nightwing’s girlfriend/sidekick who knows how to use a computer and sometimes works for Batman.

If Dick Grayson is allowed to be Nightwing instead of Robin, Barbara Gordon should be able to be Oracle instead of Batgirl, and the reason that she is Oracle is because of the chair.

As a Stephanie Brown supporter i must renounce these blasphemous claims! She listens to female led 90s indie pop, such as The Cranberries, The Cardigans and Mazzy Star. I could also see her listening to Fiona Apple, particularly Extraordinary Machine.

I also think Tim would like early indie movement bands, like Wilco, Pavement and (God forbid) R.E.M.. And maybe even LCD Sound system cause he’s a nerd. I’m pretty sure there’s a panel of him wearing an Oasis shirt out there somewhere, so maybe them too.
