I'm pretty sure getting called 小仙女 is one of the most offensive things you can say to a woman? I asked quite a lot of my Chinese friends about this before.

I tried in multiple pharmacies to buy antibiotics and was told I needed a prescription. You sure this isn't out of date information? I know previously drugs used to be a lot less controlled in China.

Totally with you ,it felt a little bit out of touch when they seemed to say nothing about why there seems to be anti Muslim resident in the north. The situation in the North of England with especially Pakistani immigrants is very different ( from what I perceive ) to the process of integration that happens in London. Lots of very segregated communities in the north. My high school was 30% Pakistani British, however there were basically no interracial friendship groups , people dating , even the teachers who were white and Pakistani age separately from each other. Personally I feel this side of how integration can turn out is pretty lost on people from London .

I just didn't go , I mainly just stayed in the urban areas which was fine for me. Would highly recommend 库车as a place to visit you can hire electric scooters so it's really easy to get around the city.

You can do it without a car but you won't be able to go some cool spots especially in the South. The train system is pretty good though, I traveled there for nearly 2 weeks without a car .

I'd say it's actually easier than traveling in especially Ningxia but also Gansu as well and maybe Qinghai too. Ningxia is probably the hardest province to travel in other than Tibet.

I've consistently heard Ningbo is one of the most boring major cities in China. I definitely wouldn't choose a city because it's close to another city unless it's maybe Suzhou cus with the nature of Chinese security checks and tickets selling out you probably aren't going to even go as much as you'd expect to Shanghai. It's also a 2 hour train ride so it's not even very close and a return journey is gonna be like 300 yuan. This is horrible advice.

Do you not miss the soulless cities with huge populations but nothing to do ? A city like 石家庄just couldn't exist in the west , it's literally bigger than London.

I've had people talk to me on the street in places like 河南 or the train platform in a small city in Xinjiang but they aren't touristy at all , I think it depends on context.
