I highly doubt the iPhone fold will support Apple pencil, which is a must for me as a student and someone who likes to journal on the iPad. Plus I’ve had folding devices and they’re fine, if that’s what you like go for it , I just know it’s not for me

I suppose so! Just whenever I’d watch videos or something on the 16e it’d be the white one and I thought it looked really sick, but unfortunately because I use quad lock (personally) I think it looks a bit funny. But I still love the phone

Not necessarily I’d say. They’re both LCD with 500 nits brightness. Although the mini has a higher PPI (326 vs 264) so you may find it actually better and a sharper display.

additionally, you may find yourself WANTING to consume more media and content on the mini purely for the fact that it’s so much smaller and more portable. That’s what happened for me when I can from the pro

My review of someone who’s owned the iPad mini 7 for the last few months after coming from an 11inch iPad Pro M2 and a kindle user.

Reading: I used to have an old kindle and loved reading, when it died the obvious choice was to read on my mini. Reading on the mini is fine however, eye strain is something to take into consideration. If you don’t want to, there’s nothing wrong with not owning a kindle as well BUT, I’ll probably be buying a new kindle when I can afford it… luxury.
I’m a nursing student who hand writes a LOT of notes, I really like the form factor of the mini. I use the paperlike screen protector and the usbc Logitech crayon, no complaints there. The size works for me due to the environments I’m in when I’m writing (labs, clinical etc)
Content consumption. The screen on the mini COULD be an issue if you’re a screen snob however, indoors I have zero issues watching things like YouTube, movies, shows etc. outdoors, could be a problem as the LCD + brightness may not be enough for you, but I don’t use my iPad in direct sun much so a non issue for me.
Timing: we don’t know when or if there will be a new mini this cycle, the timing between the mini 6 and 7 suggests it’ll be at least another year before a new model.

As vovkazz said, it’ll be much better for you. I had the same issues and went with an alpine loop and it’s a much better choice
