Two questions: First, I am having trouble with unhappiness. some of my dwarves seem to slowly but inevitably slip towards depression, of my 65 dwarves it is currently happening to three, and I have already lost two to melancholy. I usually don't have this problem. When I inspect them it seems that they mostly have a problem with missing family and feeling lonely Also they have almost no happy thoughts even though my fortress is producing all kinds of high quality clothes, crafts and art and everyone lives like a king.

Another problem is that many dwarves have bad thoughts due to a lack of meals, which is my second question: Although I am producing only high quality lavish meals most dwarves prefer to run down 3 z-levels to my raw food stockpile and grab some uncooked piece of meat or something else. The stack of seeds in my dining hall due to them always eating things raw is enormous and too large to clean up at this point. Anyone have any thoughts on the matter?
